On the check raise on the turn, what can you beat? he is obv indicting he has a str8, and his line backs that up.
Flop check was bad, bet it, get him off the draw but even betting is a bet for value since he could have some Tx hands in his range but they aren't alot and since he didn't re-raise, your 9s are VERY good here most of the time, and should be bet for value.
On river, your getting 2.3 to 1 to call an all in on a board that a set of 9s is no good, this is a clear fold, the odds aren't there and the line indicts that your no good, even if given proper odds
back to Calling the turn check raise was bad to, again, are you calling in hope of hitting a full house....then what? are you very sure he would pay off a full house, on a board that was paired, even when he had the str8 and you jsut flat the turn check-raise? If you can't say yes very strongly, you have no business at all calling that check raise and you need to fold your set right there.
Save those chips and move onto the next hand
Edit: I Completely agree with what Lady said, you left yourself powerless and let the villian take control
I just won $50 from you, that you could have used, to buy food, but you can't now!
