Default $6 SnG Turned Set-Facing AI on River

    Should read $6 SnG

Blinds 15/30 only a few hands played...No real reads on the player in question other than to say he is multitabling 4 tables.

Preflop I would have gone 4x rather than 3x, on the flop EPIC FAILURE by checking... you just made your preflop raise completely valueless/useless, now villain is left open to take control, make you his prison bitch and completely ass rape you, which he obviously did successfully... whoopsie...
I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah

On the check raise on the turn, what can you beat? he is obv indicting he has a str8, and his line backs that up.

Flop check was bad, bet it, get him off the draw but even betting is a bet for value since he could have some Tx hands in his range but they aren't alot and since he didn't re-raise, your 9s are VERY good here most of the time, and should be bet for value.

On river, your getting 2.3 to 1 to call an all in on a board that a set of 9s is no good, this is a clear fold, the odds aren't there and the line indicts that your no good, even if given proper odds

back to Calling the turn check raise was bad to, again, are you calling in hope of hitting a full house....then what? are you very sure he would pay off a full house, on a board that was paired, even when he had the str8 and you jsut flat the turn check-raise? If you can't say yes very strongly, you have no business at all calling that check raise and you need to fold your set right there.

Save those chips and move onto the next hand

Edit: I Completely agree with what Lady said, you left yourself powerless and let the villian take control
I just won $50 from you, that you could have used, to buy food, but you can't now!

Hey Freck, sorry about that... just got done reading Dew's sunglasses post and I guess some of his sarcasm rubbed off LOL Just out for a laugh... It just dawned on me that you don't yet know me or my humor well enough to know I was only kidding, so I figured I'd better elaborate that my humor is sometimes quite twisted.... especially when provoked by Mtn Dew Monkey Pokes....

Anyway, everything Wyte said is basically spot on... but one thing I said that wasn't sarcasm: flop check after initial pf raise = epic fail..... all day every day

lol I can't bare it any longer... I thought I could hold out but I can't....It's eating me up inside :

    Heres the REAL hand analysis!!!

My reads on this guy were limited, but I figure that anyone stupid enough to call the turn reraise might just call me ALL IN on the River (I was hoping he had caught a set) might read me for an attempted bluff on the turn and then maybe catching the A on the river when I shove. Anyways I felt I had a decent chance of getting a call.

You are quite right that he let me in with a relatively weak raise... I will occasionally fish with QJ, JT etc. when blinds are low and I am in later position. I was delighted when he checked the flop giving me a free chance to hit my straight and then lead out on the turn!!

I mentioned in another post... The value you get in these tourneys from just shoving your chips in with the nuts is tremendous.

I know. I thought I was being clever posting the hand the wrong way round...New I might get a bit of grief.. but that was a bit much.I also wanted to see how obvious it was that I had a made straight and whether folks on here would fold.

I would be betting out strong on the flop with two opponents in this position, I think you end up in trouble thereafter because folding sets in the heat of battle is not too easy. I think in this case he should know he is behind.

Anyway, I'm waffling again, the thought of a lady thinking of me as a prison bitch made me buckle sooner than I had planned.

I was the one doing the Ass Raping ( well figuratively speaking)

Pretty funny post, posting it the other way around. I'd say wyte and lady were spot on though. That is an insanely terrible board for a set. Did "hero" call you on the river?

I have to assume that he did get the call or he wouldn't know it was exactly 9-9. Of course, he could be using a hand that he thinks is in the villain's (JP's) range. But I think this was called. Villain plays horribly... add him to your buddy list.

    Yes

He did make the call...As expected and has been added to the buddy list along with a note that he is worth a call in position with any reasonable cards!!

To give him some credit it wasn;t a snap call....He thought long and hard about it before making the wrong decision

sorry for the stupid question earlier... I just now realized you posted the entire hand history. Sometimes I'm such an idiot

What "buddy list" are you using Frob?

LOL, I don't have a real "buddy list" per say. But I will make a note on a player and start it will a comment like "PLAY WITH THIS GUY" or something. So when I see him again, I know.

    Lol nice wyte.

Frob, that site you used to track your step-brother's stats has a buddy list feature. I've recently started messing around with it just to see how it works, but I haven't really done a lot with it. I was just curious if you were using it as well.

I have tried it but no one is ever on when I use it. I only have like 5 people on there -- mostly myself and my step-brother. And then I have my friend from India on there. So it's 3 people... and like 5 different accounts. So it could just be that I have a small sample size.

Yeah, I finally got tired of waiting to see if anyone was on mine, so I added myself and joined a table. About 5 hands into my session, it popped up on the list... so it seems to actually work. I might start using this to add the crazies so I can join their tables in the future.
