I suck so bad that I can't believe it. And then, to make matters worse, I get rewarded for my terrible play.

Hero (CO): $4.91
BTN: $2.00
SB: $1.98
BB: $4.33

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is CO with 6 6
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.08, BTN raises to $0.20, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.12

Let me be blunt here. This is an easy fold. I have to believe that I will get the other player's stack if I hit my set on the flop. Playing this hand out of position, there just isn't any reason to assume that. I misplay pre flop by calling when a fold is the correct play.

Flop: ($0.43) 4 8 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.26, Hero calls $0.26

I miss my set. I should fold. But I decide to call again. I'm just being dumb here. This is a "I hope you really, really have AK here," call. Which is a bad call. Easy fold... but I misplay again and just throw away some more money. It is almost certain that the player has a bigger pair than I do. And even if he has AK, I am probably going to face another bet when I check the turn. And then end up calling it. In position, this is still a bad call... but at least it's better because I can bet if he checks and hope to pick up the pot.

Turn: ($0.95) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.48, Hero calls $0.48

There is no reason to think this is AK again. I don't know enough about this player to assume that he's double barreling with AK. It is an easy fold. But I call anyway... at this point, I am pretty sure I am beat but I don't want to give up. This is a bad decision. I can't believe I find myself here and am playing this bad.

River: ($1.91) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BTN calls $1.06 all in

Well, this part of the hand is the only thing I can think is fine. I have to bet for value here. If I check, he's probably checking behind. I called the entire time, hoping to hit, and when I hit... I need to make sure I get the money in. I do... and thankfully he doesn't assume I have an 8 (which is a good assumption because I almost never have an 8 here)... and he calls.

Final Pot: $4.03
Hero shows 6 6 (a full house, Sixes full of Eights)
BTN mucks J J
Hero wins $3.88
(Rake: $0.15)

Sure enough, I was behind this entire hand. I should have just folded pre-flop after putting in 8c. Instead, I put an additional 86c in when I was behind and drawing to only two outs. I suck.
