Default Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS)

Just because the World Series of Poker is over, doesn't mean you can't still go for the gold at Full Tilt Poker.

Starting at 6PM ET on Sunday, August 13th, Full Tilt Poker will kick off its Full Tilt Online Poker Series where you can compete for your share of more than a million dollars in guaranteed prize money for the week.

Of course, what good is an online championship title if you can't do a little bragging the next time you sit down at your favorite Full Tilt Poker table? That's why the overall FTOPS winner will also receive a custom Full Tilt Poker avatar just like the ones used by our pros. The overall FTOPS winner will be determined using our Tournament Leaderboard for the 8 FTOPS Events.

So, if you're ready to play for the FTOPS title, make sure you don't miss one of the nightly tournaments. Buy-ins for these events range from $200 + $16 to $500 + $35, and satellites start for as little as $6 + $.60.

I already tried the limit tournament yesterday, and busted out with KK vs Q9 to 245. place. The tournament had 726 players with a nice $145k prize pool.

I wish there were more limit tournaments like this (yes I'm a pervert who likes 'em)

Some friends of mine at work play on this site alot and they seem to like it. I have downloaded the software and installed it, but never played yet. I have played on Play Online Poker and Texas Hold'em at UltimateBet.com a few times in some cash and some tourneys, but never done that well.

A friend at work has played on UB and won over $3000 twice. And he isn't that good, just freaking lucky...

Poker has a large element of luck, so profits and whether or not a player is a winning player should be measured on long term. You may even be experiencing a bad or lucky run for weeks.

I have played on FullTilt from time to time but just at the play money games. Is it really a good site? Do they have good players or yahoos? What I see in the play money games is a bunch of yahoos and to play a game for $200+ with yahoos is a little risky in my books.

I too have played at FullTilt but only for play money as well. Could you tell me when the $6+ satellites are being run? I wouldn't mind trying one or two of them but I'm a little leary on playing the $200+ games online. In live tourneys it doesn't bother me but online I'm still a little unsure of putting up that kind of money against people I can't see.

I've found the Full Tilt tournaments to be really soft. My favorite thing are the new H.O.R.S.E tournaments, that for some reason aren't offered anywhere else that I've found.

The NL hold em' S&G's and MTT's are played by donkeys and a few decent (read: tight/obvious) regulars. I would estimate the ration to be about 6:1.
