Default Picking spots in the Community Tour

A good example of picking a spot and ruining your table image at the same time.

    Full Tilt Poker RakebackCommunityTour No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t120/t240 Blinds + t25 - 9 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

    SB: t195 M = 0.33
    BB: t7885 M = 13.48
    Hero (UTG): t5923 M = 10.12
    UTG+1: t7230 M = 12.36
    UTG+2: t15 M = 0.03
    MP1: t75 M = 0.13
    MP2: t8220 M = 14.05
    CO: t25670 M = 43.88
    BTN: t5800 M = 9.91

Pre Flop: (t575) Hero is UTG with Q J
Hero calls t240, 2 folds, MP2 calls t240, CO calls t240, 2 folds, BB checks

Not a great spot or hand to limp with. But the table has been really passive because they are trying to knock out the ultra-short stacks who are all-in every hand. Since everyone is trying to not commit a lot of chips without a monster, it becomes easy to know where you are in a hand.

    Flop: (t1295) K 7 Q (5 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, MP2 bets t420, CO calls t420, BB folds, Hero calls t420

Not a great board but the bet is fairly small and it's a weak bet. I think I still have a chance at this pot.

    Turn: (t2555) 8 (4 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets t400, CO calls t400, Hero calls t400

Not a great turn card but this bet is even weaker than the last. I'll peel again.

    River: (t3755) 3 (4 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets t335, CO calls t335, Hero raises to t1680, MP2 folds, CO folds

I highly doubt my second pair is the best hand here. But MP2 is betting so weak and the CO is even weaker and just trying to get to showdown. I think a smallish check/raise here will get them off their hands the majority of the time. It looks really strong and like 2-pair or better trying to get extra value. If it fails, I am not in great shape but I am not out of action either. I think this is a great spot to just take this pot.

I do end up taking the pot. Of course, I forget that UTG+2 is all-in so I have to show down this hand. I pick up a nice pile of chips but I am sure I ruined my image at this table and the next time I try such a play, I'd better have the goods.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.

Heh, that's alright... by the time I woke up today, I only had 500 +/- chips left, so first hand I got I had to shove with it LOL Matter of fact, you saw the result of that LOL I hate working 3rd shift... it always screws up my sleep patterns. I got off at 6am this morning, didn't go to sleep til around 9:30ish, and then woke up at 1:00ish because although my alarm was not set, my internal clock is stuck on stupid LOL
I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah
