You my friend will have to be in the second category. On the queens, he would not have payed off more than the $3, I'd been playing him for a while. On the Kings, I thought I got out really light losing only a relatively small pot to someone who flopped 2 pair. The JJ hand I really played bad...BadBad. And on the AA hand, in the side notes I commented that I was "Tilty"
This thread was not about play, but lottsa big hands all together.

That all being said, you are definately in the second category and can KMA.
    Thank You

yea .. ur agreeing with me....i said cant blame you for the AA....maybe looked like a bluff.....the JJ u played terrible....the KK u played terrible but youre right you lost pretty small amount ...but the guy you were against also had no idea what he was doing....im just shocked how you can bet 3 dollars like that...bet 8 or 9 on the turn and 15 on the river

Ugh, sorry. Bummer. I won't place myself in the second category. I sympathize with you totally.

Bad runs happen to everyone, it's all a part of the game's variance. Not to go categorize myself in the "KMA"-group, but I personally nearly see red when I see people doing one of two things pre-flop with aces or kings. 1. Just limp in to hide the strength of the hand (that's inviting all sorts of suited connectors and one-gappers to join the pot and suck out. VERY dangerous) 2. Just make the minimum bet possible pre-flop to possibly get at least one caller in order to make money on later streets. (same problem as in the first part)

But anyway, I do know exactly how that feels. I had a huge slump about two months ago, where I just got sucked out on constantly, and it lasted nearly three weeks. All you can do is ride it out and remember that the suck outs and bad beats happen, there is no way to prevent it. In a way, one should be glad (yeah, I know how likely that is ) that those happen, because it means players put their money in with a weaker hand, hence making a big mistake, and after 100 similar situations, you got the cash, they don't.

I would like whoever is editing this thread to PM me when they decide to do so. Maybe it's not really happening and I am going crazy, That being said there are some replies and replies to replies gone! And some replies have been "doctored". Thats OK, it's your decision, but I'd like a PM telling me why, If it's not too much trouble.

And props to the two previous responders who "get it". Big PP's in 4 out of 10 hands, 3 of them in a 5 hand sequence....Pretty cool

alright, if you think that was a bad beat, then you are a bad player. Sure, statistically, that was a bad beat and MAYBE the guy would have called a raise with 4's. But he couldve had Ace Duece and you wouldve been drawing to 2 outs. You need to learn how to play big pocket pairs and stop complaining when you play them wrong.

all i need to see. who the hell just calls with kings. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! as long as you keep doing that, IT WILL KEEP HAPPENING! its not the cards, its the player. and dont you dare tell me to KYA because everyone in this forum knows im right and you played that hand completely wrong. not to mention that min raise at the end. if you think your good then go all in! a min raise is the worst bet possible.

No sir, The KMA part was just a joke. Your are perfectly right in your evaluation, BUT, This was a very , very tite table. If I had come in with a big raise, that would have been it, by limping I was trying to get some action and I got a little more than I had hoped. Are you saying you never limp in to pots?

Each table has different styles of play and I try to adjust my play accordingly, so if your saying there's only one way to play anything, you are dead wrong! You can't make a living winning blinds and ante's, you have to set a trap now and then. It sometimes seems I'm trapping myself a lot, but I do OK.

As for the raise at the end, have you ever felt snakebit? This was a "Gunshy" play.

P.S. It seems a lot of comments are being made about this being in the bad beats section, It should be in the unusual hands section or something, but this is the best fit I could find; It was about a lot of big PP's in a short time. So if it fits better somewhere else, would a Mod. move it?

how is that sick? you were raising when there was an ace on board. you should have folded long before the end of the hand.

actually... yes, i always raise with pocket pairs. They are not strong enough to trap people with. I would rather collect 150 chips in blinds than lose 3000 chips to ace duece with Kings. trapping people is for when you flopped the nuts or trips, etc. and even then you trap them with a bet that they would raise, you dont just check. limping is probably the worst play ever. im not saying i dont limp, im saying that when i get 7's or higher i raise. and thats the right play.

    Give yourself a shake.

CP is having a tournament tommorrow, unless the entry fee is too small for a high roller like you.

I was asking about lessons from the 3 stooges critisizing my play, not the General forum. But if you wanna play, the tourn. is listed under either special or private and the password is listed under the CP tourny post.

    Hope to see you there.
