Poker is a microcosm of all we admire and disdain about capitalism and democracy. Poker can be rough-hewn or polished, warm or cold, charitable and caring, or hard and impersonal, fickle and elusive, but ultimately poker is fair, and right, and just.

personally, i would have bet 3 bb before the flop. you're wasting a bb with the 2400 bet if you have to fold. now that you're in the hand, you have 20% of your stack committed. so it's harder to get away from. that said, it depends on the situation. have you made the money? if you're already in the money, i'd instacall. i don't think you can't put one or both on AA or KK. you're more likely up against AK, AQ, AJ, JJ, TT. or something like that. but the flat call by jbcolson scares me. you'll see AA flat call a lot.

if you're on the bubble and are reasonably sure you can make the money without winning another pot, then you can fold. but you're leaving yourself short stacked by folding. so your chances of making a deep run will take a big hit. also, are you happy just making the money? or are you playing for first? even if i'm on the bubble, i'd probably call here and take the risk. if you win, you're over 30,000 in chips and have a better chance of winning or finishing deep.
I'm not a poker player. I'm a tax collector on people who suck at math.

This is not a great stack size to be in this position with at all, you are borderline an All In Shove pre with the blinds and Antis, yet do not really have enough to bet 4BB and fold a hand like QQ.

As DBS says it is OK given your stack to make a smaller raise 3BB or even 2.5BB, which is just as effective as 4BB and you are never having probs getting your stack in post flop if you want to (although I am rarely folding QQ pre here whether I raise 4BB or 2.5BB). There is also a case here for just open shoving to take down a pot worth over 1500 chips (15% of your stack) plus hands like AQ, AJ 77-JJ might well call.

As played I still think you should have 30 - 35% Equity against average ranges and you cannot do anything else but get it in. Even with a 3 BB raise you would struggle to fold post flop even with this action unless you can pin either player as very tight. So just shove your money in and hope you are ahead.

I'd make it 1500 pf. 2.5x is more standard deep in an anted tourney. All I can say is....Do not fold. 3.3 to 1 on your money when you have like +35% equity in this situation. Snap it and move on.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

I like the thought process here.

20% of a stack committed in a MTT is the magic # for me when I start to get short/low stacked. I will adjust my raise/bet to only commit 20% with both monsters and foldable hands so that players can't get a read on what I'm holding. If it's not 20% when I get down to about 15 blinds, then it's either a push of fold unless I can call a multi-pot in late position cheap with a drawing hand.
