I am finally winning again

So I am back to my winning ways... it feels so good to have hands hold up for once and hit 3 outers to make the nut straight on the river. Besides that I think I have been playing better as well. I only play heads up sitngos and I have been taking my time before I make decisions. I think sometimes when you play heads up you get in a zone where you are acting so fast that you make more decisions on impulse. I try to keep my hand off the mouse...that way I wont act as fast. I also adjusted my no limit game and I am picking my spots to bluff better. If I am playing against a predictable player I will make all in bets or over bets in certain spots I KNOW he will fold. In limit I used to always raise on the flop when I made a pair... now sometimes I wait to the turn where the values are doubled to throw in the raise (or if they bet the entire way I will wait til the river). I am also just more confident with my abilities and I think that is probably most important. When you feel like you are going to win you just do.

I am still in the midst of a larger period of variance the other way. It is hard to remain motivated when you're happy to just be breaking even a lot of the time.

But, I know this will pass and I will be back to making money again real soon.

Same here, Frob. The last 2 weeks I've been elated to come out ahead. For last month and 35k hands, I was 11 buyins under my all in EV. I know this has nothing to do with it, but once you start thinking bad, it just seems like things go that much worse haha. The power of positive thinking, as Mike Matusow would say.

At least 1 of the 3 posters is starting to heat up.
