    Default Nordic vs USA

Well...as most of you are aware im sure, there has been a long and hard rivalry between the american superstars and the Nordic players. Each side claims to be the best.
Ive always enjoyed watching the american players more because they spice up the game but when I stop to think, I actually would place the Nordic players higher in the scale.
The nordic players arent nearly as well known, yet when I watch them playing, they seem to have a deeper understanding of the game, more patience, more discipline, rather than the new and young american crowd full of hot shots bluffing left and right.
Would you agree? is there any way to determine this assumption?
Anyways, glad to be back, hope everyone did well in my absence.

P.S you must have done a bit better during the 11 days the master was absent
Ogres and donks beware... i have a pitchfork!!!

That is very interesting to hear, because most people I speak to say Nordic players are maniacs and over-aggressive. I also hear similar complaints about Russian players. I can't give a personal opinion because I don't think the way someone plays is solely defined by where they are from. These are just what opinions I've observed over time.
I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah

USA has Ivey (best NLHE player and all around player in the world) and a bunch of other well known greats. Nordic has Antonius and Ziigmund and that's about it.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

thats exactly my point....you only hear of a few of them.
most of the Nordic players arent well known, at least not amongst us.
They have an array of great players (IMO) that arent marketed like Ziigmund and Antonius.

i dont really know many UK players, especially not ones who play on line.
The only UK player i know, who I consider to be of the top rate, is the Devil Fish, Elliot (whats his last name?)...

Personally I have a great many friends from UK and they play very well. Also, a few German friends of mine also play very well.

I really don't think a person's country or region defines how they as a people will play.

I think it comes down to each individual person and their psychology, as well as their level of experience.

For example, an unhappy and inexperienced person might tilt easily and frequently, and this will affect how he plays.

To assume that an entire country of people all play a game a specific way is just a little far-fetched imho.

It's like saying "All people from Manchester are good at football..." (Go United) lol

    ohh, thx travz...
Lilady-Exactly correct, region doesnt count, however you will notice a rivalry between Nordic and american players seeing as they have the most players and many of the best players as well.

    Now that's a good question..
I think all ppls will feel their countrymen/woman are the best. No way to proof it, because unlike Tiger, who is a phenom in his sport, poker is now a global sport, and anyone of thousands of players can win.
On any given day..It's the cards that fall, which count.
