    Default AP/UB Bad Beat Jackpot

If the Bad Beat Jackpot is hit at the same stakes and game type that someone is playing say... 10 tables at, do they get paid for each table or just a single reward?

    From UB/AP's site:

How is the Bad Beat Jackpot split?
•25% rolls over to the next Bad Beat Jackpot, giving it a healthy head start.
    •10% goes to the house
    Of the remaining 65%:
•50% goes to the Bad Beat victim
•25% goes to the winner of the hand
•$1000 goes to every other player at the Bad Beat table
•The rest is divided among everyone playing the same game type and stakes when the Bad Beat takes place, provided they meet the requirements of qualification.

This means that if you are at 10 tables at that stake level, you get paid for EACH table you are sitting at. They write you an email letting you know about your win...and they'll say "so everyone at .50/1.00 stakes recieved $98.52, and since you were playing at 10 tables that gives you a grand total of $985.20. Thank you for padding our pockets!!!" Okay so i made the last part up, but 10% back to the house!?! Nice... we'll collect an additional rake then award 90% back to you guys, and we'll take 10%.

IMO, the Jackpot tables are a ripoff at the low stakes because the between the normal rake and the 50 cents of each pot that goes towards the jackpot, it is difficult to maintain a profit. I was lucky enough to be at 4 tables one time when it hit, and got a quick $490 juice to my bankroll. But when i looked at my numbers, i was running -1BB/100, with the biggest culprit being "rake," which was actually mostly my JP contributions.

The 50 cents towards the jackpot fills up extremely fast (much quicker than the rake). Just food for thought.

    65% never seemed so big.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I was told by someone at the tables that they will only pay you for a max of 4 tables.

That might be true because I was 6 tabling yesterday when it hit, and I'm almost positive it paid for more than one but not all 6. Then again, it was still very early in my session so it's possible I didn't meet the requirements yet at a couple of the tables.

In order to qualify for the remainder of the Bad Beat Jackpot that is divided among eligible players, you must satisfy the following conditions:

    * You must be playing at a Jackpot or Turbo Jackpot table
    * You must be playing at the same game type and stakes level where the Jackpot was hit
    * You must have played in at least one hand, in your current session at the table, where a Jackpot rake was collected and you must have contributed to that pot
    * You must be sitting in when the Bad Beat occurs

That's taken from the rules page. There used to be a rule about having at least 4 people sitting in at the table. Back when I played at AP I didn't get paid at a table or two because of that rule.

I believe in order to get paid your table had to collect money for the jackpot. Someone was saying that they were in the correct stakes but there hand didn't collect money for the bad beat so they didn't get any money. So if you put money into the jackpot while the hand was going on you should get paid. So if your multi tabling you might only get paid on 75% of your tables.
