i had Preflop QJ, in the flop appeared K10, somebody called all in. knowing that iam very close to the royal flush i called all in too.
knowing that i was in a tournment with a big risk to loose all the chips, i would like to know if my call was good or not.

What kind of tournament is this? It looks like it is some sort of MTT. Is the 180 man SnG you mentioned in your other post? This is important to know when determining whether or not this is a proper call.

I initially thought this was for a Single Table Tournament, in which case you should not have been in the hand in the first place. You shouldn't be playing QJs when the blinds are this low.

However, since this looks like it is a MTT, I think this is a borderline call. It is slightly +EV to call against his likely range, and the dead money in the pot gives you a bit of a cushion. You are a favorite against everything except a set and Ax of hearts. However, I would definitely rather be the one shoving than calling.

Folding isn't a horribly bad option either. It is UBER early in a MTT and there will be other better opportunities to get your money in the middle because of the liklihood that the villian shows up with a set here, or even Ax of hearts. I wonder if anyone in the RB community would lay this down in a 180 man SnG?

I'd say good call but for the wrong reason. You put too much emphasis on being "very close to the royal flush". Many a time, folding a draw to the royal is correct. You should be thinking about odds n outs, not pretty hands.

Anyway, good call as you had the odds this time. 2 outs to the absolute nuts, 7 outs to the flush and another 6 outs for the up n down straight. Roughly translates to you being a 58% favourite. Folding is ok if you really dont want to risk your tourney life.

Like Riverstars said, the combo draw is so sexy it is absurd. So sexy, I wonder if anyone would be able to fold it here. And I envy those people

But he's not a 58% favorite against the villains entire range, I'd say he's a coinflip at best. With the dead money in the pot, it's a call.

Upon making the call, OP should pat himself on the back for making a nice read on the villain because, like you said, he was a 54% favorite to win.

If this was higher stakes I'd happily stand corrected but it's the early stages of a $2.25 tourney where top pair is a definate all-in shove for many (as proven in this hand)

The only set that makes sense for the shover is 3's, we'd expect T's or K's to re-raise PF. If initial raiser has a set then our call is more than justified with the pot now at approx 8k and we're still 45%? to win. I just think worrying about sets here is seeing monsters under the bed.

Maybe this is why I mostly play cash games

By the way Kino, in future it would be better if you only post up to where you question your decision ie should I call here? and also include any previous reads, info. Showing results can sway opinion.

Cash games call all day. Not sure it's the smartest move to call with this early in a MTT, but I would still call because I have no patience. Being the aggressor with this hand would be much, much better than calling all in.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

RiverstarsVictim is talking about including the end results of your hand. If you want the best advice, you should probably cut out the end result of the hand. Don't show what the outcome was, but instead just include up to the point where you had to make your decision and ask for help there.

With that being said, if you are just wanting to share a hand, show the entire thing by all means. But if you are looking for advice, try not to give away information that could cloud someone's judgment of what the best course of action was.
