I don't know if you guys have been following the high stakes games recently but a new kid on the block is destroying dwan. In the last 5 days Dwan is down 3.3 million thanks to the unknown Isildur1.

According to one website, he was on the verge of breaking $10,000,000 in online cash games played at FTP when the downswing hit. He plays with his money, however, he also just became a member of Team Full Tilt and the value of that sponsorship is unknown, but is estimated to be worth millions. $3.3 million is a mere downswing to him

I have to disagree with you here dew... Dwan won about 5 million last year and he is already down 5 million this year. Losing 3.3 million in just 5 days is a HUGE amount. There is no way he can keep up at this pace. Granted yes he is now a member of team fulltilt but we don't exactly know how much they are paying him. Maybe 1 - 2 million per year? That isn't that much considering the stakes and how many tables he plays.

I give up with saying something without meaning it 100% on the internet... even with emoticons, the language is lost apparently.

But I'd check on your stats too. I haven't heard anyone make the claim that he is down 5 million this year. And this site definitely doesn't back that claim either.

I tend to avoid looking at the emoticons sometimes... I am always bad a picking up sarcasm online.

I was just saying everything in the beggining of my post as a "he'll be fine even though he's had this massive swing" and I was sarcastically saying it was a mere downswing. I should have probably used the rolleyes emoticon or something.

Anyway, thanks for the link. Depending on the % of Full Tilt that the team members get or whatever, it could be worth well more than his recent downswing. And then looking at that graph, he had an upswing over 2 months time of almost 4.5 million or so... I don't know... at these stakes and the skill levels of the players there, I really wonder if these are just "swings" he has to deal with with his high variance style of play. Especially considering a lot of it is in Omaha too which even adds more variance. Whatever the reason it's pretty crazy though.

I do not believe I have what it takes to be able to keep playing the game after losing even a small % of what he has. I don't think I could even play after winning a small % of what he has as well. Lol... I'd tilt on both sides of that spectrum.

4.5 million dollar swings would give me heart problems!
I just won $50 from you, that you could have used, to buy food, but you can't now!

The sponsorship will be worth no more than 300-500k if that. And it is an enormous downswing that will make him pretty ripe for the pros to rape him for awhile until he goes down a few levels. Hellmuth always said he was good for a short time, but to show him he could do it for 10-20 years. He may be on the slide.

I'm pretty sure he got the same deal that the other big name Full Tilt pros got. He gets shares in the company, which estimated in the 10's of millions for the other pros. Plus, he already has more money than almost all of the pros that play on Tilt regularly. He is only ripe because he's downswinging. Hellmuth couldn't beat nl400 online.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Yea cause last year fulltilt gave clonie gowen the boot and she filed a lawsuit against them that was dismissed. According to her she signed a contract for 1% ownership in the company like all the other members of team fulltilt. She was asking for 40 million but didn't get it. Howard lederer offered her 250k but she turned it down...so now she has the same amount of money as me....SHIT LOL.
