Default female players on tv wsop 09

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but it seems better than any other category.
I was watching the 2009 WSOP episodes (yes, all at once) and I noticed something interesting about the women players. It could very well be the way the program is edited, but if that is the case, it still seems odd to edit a program this way. Of course they are showing the most 'interesting' or 'risky' hands for a televised game, especially a recorded one.
But seems like the women are always shoving, and always short stacked. Of course being short stacked could be the cause of the shoving, but it still seemed like the women were playing or being portrayed to play in an 'all or nothing' manner. I want to add most of the time, the opponent folded or the female player won.
Has anyone else noticed it, or am I imagining this? Are they making up for not being taken as seriously by shoving more?

I didn't see what you were seeing. Every gender was pretty much shoving every hand they showed.

    Female player is shortstacked..
    Female player fails to shove..
    Female player blinds out..
Poker is a microcosm of all we admire and disdain about capitalism and democracy. Poker can be rough-hewn or polished, warm or cold, charitable and caring, or hard and impersonal, fickle and elusive, but ultimately poker is fair, and right, and just.

I wish I had an answer for ya but I missed ALL of the 09 World Series so I couldn't tell ya what happened or when or why. But... as for past experiences, I've seen them portray all the players (male and female) in a pretty unbiased way. We haven't had a female go super deep in a while, so perhaps the only females left at the point you were watching were all short stacked and forced all in no matter what? *Very Real Possibility*

That's why casinos hold so many "men only" tournaments.

Relax guys let kimlovo breathe. I think it's true that when guys go on tilt it's more "epic," though I wouldn't conclude that they're better players I was watching Dan Kelly play on stars today and one one table he called a loose player's all in w/ AJ high on the river, and on another table he reraised pf all in w/ pocket 2s when he had well over an average chip stack. He got called by someone who had him covered and lost.....

As a side note, I remember watching one wsop episode where the pot was 80k chips by the river, and one female min bet something like 2k in a three way pot, which was eventually reraised and she folded. I lol'd.

I am a girl and I disagree with this statement 100%. Someone's gender has nothing to do with whether or not they are better or worse at poker. It depends 100% on each individual's mental and emotional suitability and sustainability.

And for the record, most women are only patient 3 weeks out of every month lol

True, we can't prove causation, but a correlation undeniably exists.

So it has to do with gender if you are patiened and never tilt?
