Default Things to consider when moving up limits

Obviously the most important thing is proper bankroll. I know there have been posts about this before, but they always leave me slightly confused. "You need 20-50 BI's to play at this limit." If you are playing 8 tables at a time, does this mean that you need 160-400 BIs?

Anything else I should consider when moving up a limit?

Be sure you've played enough hands at the current level to ensure you're actually beating the level. Most people recommend 50k hands minimum to know where you're really at.

I agree with making sure you are a winning player. I would also say don't play as many tables at first. Play a couple fewer tables and get used to how people play at the next level. I have found the the difference between even the smallest bumps, say .02/.05 to .05/.10 is pretty big. The further up you go, the fewer fish, so the less a loose strategy works and the more solid you have to play. As you move up more and more, your leaks will be picked up by more people. So, just make sure you are constantly analyzing your game and go from there.

In the end, it is just all about adjustment. Just make sure you pay attention and don't get too crazy at first!

This is good advice. Anytime you start getting down about your game too, know that we are all here for additional advice and comfort.

Also you generally want to have more buy-ins as you add additional tables.

    Good luck.

If you're a winning player and don't ever want to reload, I'd keep a minimum of 40 BI's in your roll, regardless of how many tables you play. This is for 9 handed nl cash. I'd maybe keep 50+ BI's for 6max and 60 for Pot Limit Omaha. You'll hear that you need 100 BI's from a lot of places, but nobody ever needs close to that much. It's just to make you feel more secure so you won't play scared if you go on an incredibly rare 30 BI downswing.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

The rule of thumb I've always heard for BR management when multi-tabling is once your over 2, add 10-15% more BIs for every 4 tables. So if you 6 table, play on a 45 BI BR instead of a 40. If you do 10 tables, play on a 48-50 BI BR. Never set the min below 40 BIs when multitabling. If you do more than 20 tables at once, a 100 BI BR is very adviseable.
I just won $50 from you, that you could have used, to buy food, but you can't now!

Yes, but those images wouldn't be allowed on this forum.
