Crown Casino
Ive been playing .50/1 live pokerpro tables at Crown Casino instead of internet poker for the last two weeks. The games are so soft, i personally believe even softer than .01/.02 online. The amount of people that either have no idea or just dont care is astounding.
Anyway my highlight was last Friday night when Joe Hachem walked into the pokerroom with his brother (i forget his name and i cant be stuffed looking it up) and Jason Alexander (the short fat guy with glasses from seinfeld). First time in a long time ive seen a celebrity and the first time ive seen a poker celebrity.
Also a funny story
Guy1 across from me raises $10, guy2 next to him calls, guy3 to the right of me pushes allin for $30, Guy 1 calls, Guy 2 has fallen asleep and times out. He wakes up at the end of the hand with a start wondering where his cards went.
Poker is a microcosm of all we admire and disdain about capitalism and democracy. Poker can be rough-hewn or polished, warm or cold, charitable and caring, or hard and impersonal, fickle and elusive, but ultimately poker is fair, and right, and just.
