I wrote this today, i hope you all like it. Its called, "Twas the night before Jesus came".

Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the land,
not a creature was stirring, not even one man.
All the bibles were dusted and laid out with care,
in hopes that Jesus would soon be there.

On a white horse from Heaven Jesus flew from the sky,
to take all his children to their reward up high.
Father jumped from his bed and onto his knees,
and ask the Lord Jesus to take him home please.

Jesus looked at father with tears in his eyes,
and answered him quickly with much surprise.

"You knew i would come back, you were warned of this,
Now you expect heaven and eternal bliss.
I've waited your whole life to here you say,
the words that you needed to before today.
Not once did you ask me to be your friend,
or to save you a spot when it comes to the end".

Away Jesus flew with all his children in hand,
leaving behind all who were like that one man.
From that day on father prayed every day,
in hopes that Jesus would come back to say.

"Come with me my child your reward now waits,
you have earned your way to the pearly gates".
