Joseph Hachem is a Lebanese-Australian professional poker player known for winning the main event of the 2005 World Series of Poker. He was the first Australian to win the main event, which earned him $7.5 million, then a record for all-time biggest tournament prize.
Daniel Negreanu was born in Toronto, Canada on July 26, 1974. He learned to play poker when he was 15, and won the pot-limit Texas Hold'em event at the first World Series of Poker he attentded in 1998, making him, at 23, the youngest WSOP bracelet winner at that time. He has since won over $6 million at tournaments, including 2 more WSOP bracelets and 2 World Poker Tour titles. He was also chosen the 2004 Card Player Magazine Player of the Year.
Greg Raymer was born in Lansing, Michigan in June of 1964. In 2004, he won the main event of the World Series of Poker, winning 5 million dollars, the most ever won in a tournament at that time. He lives in Stonnington, Connecticut with his wife, Cheryl, and their daughter.
Scotty Nguyen was born in South Vietmam and moved to the United States in 1979 to play poker. He's won 4 World Series of Poker bracelets, including the main event in 1998, and one World Poker Tour event. He's known for his flashy look & attitude and currently lives in Las Vegas. In 2007, he almost made the final table of the World Series again, but got knocked out in 11th place.
Chris Ferguson was born in Los Angeles on April 11, 1963 and has won 5 World Series of Poker bracelets, including the 2000 championship no-limit Hold'em event, which he won just after completing his PhD in Computer Science at UCLA. He has also won three World Series circuit events, and the 2008 National Heads-Up Poker Championship. (Of course lets not forget that he made 0 dollars into 10,000 through freerolls noting the "Chris Ferguson challenge")
Phil Ivey grew up in New Jersey and has won 7 World Series of Poker bracelets, the first in 2000 when he was only 23 years old. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Luciaetta. His grandfather taught him to play five-card stud as a child and by 16, Ivey started playing for money. It wasn’t long after turning 21 that he became a poker pro.
Phil Hellmuth was born in 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin, and has won 11 World Series of Poker Bracelets, more than any other player, including a main event win in 1989. He has been at over 20 final tables at the World Series of Poker and won over 4 million dollars there. Outside the table, he lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife and two sons. In 2006, he was chosen to replace Phil Gordon as the new co-host of Celebrity Poker Showdown.
Michael Mizrachi was born on January 5th, 1981 in Miami, Florida and started playing poker when he was a young teenager. He has one son with with his wife, Aidiliy.
Mizrachi is a great tournament player who has captured 2 World Poker Tour titles and consistently cashes in events. In 2005 alone, he won $2,472,439 at tournaments. In 2006, he captured Cardplayer Magazine's Player of the Year Award.
