A thing that stops 3betting or squeeze happy players is 3betting yourself.
Not sure if you're talking about fullring or 6max, but if you're playing fullring I don't see the problem. Wait for hands to 4bet/get it in. People are spewing. If you're playing 6max, you can't really wait for comfortable hands to 4bet with. You have to start being way more aggressive instead of flat calling 2bets. You should also tighten up your opening range if you are getting 3bet way too often.
When you flat call a 2bet, someone after you is likely to squeeze with any two cards at some limits. This is good if you have a hand that can 4bet (it would look kinda weird for a flatter to 4bet but w/e), but you should also be 3betting those kinds of hands on your own pf. But most of the time you're caught in a squeeze with a hand like 77 or KJs and will have to dump it. Pretty much the only way to see the cheapest possible flop is to 3bet those types of hands to ~2.5x the open raise. This will allow the original raiser to call with a wider range, which kind of sucks for hand reading purposes, but it also allows them to call with a worse range than our holdings OOP, which is awesome for us. This play will usually eliminate any squeeze happy spewtards from the pot and you get to play a hand in position with a value type hand. If you make your 3bet 3.5x-4x it pretty much turns your hand into a bluff, which we don't want to do with those holdings. And even if villain calls with a better hand a lot of the time when we 3bet small, we take over initiative and will win way more pots post flop than we would have by just flat calling.
Hopefully you actually play 6max so I didn't waste all that time haha.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
