i've recently start playing at pokerstars and full tilt, few months, and i had a great run on the start, won many hands and evoied bad beats, including winning some in luck, win AQ VS AK, and stuff like that, pair over pair weird hands.

but as the time went on, i started getting a lot of bad beats, bad luck, like i had a deep run at 4.40 $ tournement in pokerstars, and i had 60k chips when blinds 500/1000,
the only guy on the table that had more chips then me [like 80k] seated on my right and on my BB i was dealt AA, everybody folds and he just shuved his all stack, ofc i insta called and he opened A4, flop came KQ5 turn 3 river 2.

i couldnt belive.

later on i checked and he was a new member on stars, isnt that weird?
had a lot hands like that against new members who catched runner runner flush or str8 against me while they had like 5% after the flop, did it happen to u?

well we all know online poker is rigged and sometimes just unreal... how come every time A rag wins the bigger ace, or one over must hit, its 25-30% not 99% :S

As many on hear have seen, I too have been frustrated by online play in recent times. However, a reply to one of my posts by dew12109 got me thinking. The post basically said that if I went to a casino and played no limit cash I would see similar types of beats and play. I took the advice and, they were right. It got me thinking that, while there are donks everywhere, consistency is the key. I have also been told that as long as you get your money all in with the best hand, you have done as much as you can do. This, unfortunately, was the case for you. . It was checked to me and I bet 25 (it was $1/$3 no limit) and one guy pushes all in for a couple hundred. It is folded to me and, of course, I call. He shows pkt 2's for a boat and I show my straight flush. The same as your case, not exactly but, the odds of me flopping a str8 flush were probably as good as the player catching runner, runner for a str8 to crack your A's. Also, watch some of the episodes of WSOP on ESPN from this year and recent years and you will see bad beats and unbelievable draws. Now that I have seen these things, it is getting easier for me to handle the dealings of the online poker world!

Have you even played 100 hands of A rag vs Bigger Ace in online poker to be able to get this 99% accurately?

I have done some basic checks onmy own All in equitity compared to the results for both SnG and MTT over a pretty large sample 200K + hands. The comparison proved to me that the online site that I play on " FTP" is genuinly random.

The problem with running good, is that it hides a mulitude of sins, which will inevitably catch up with you over the longer term. If you are consistently getting it in bad and still winning, then surely that should set the alarm bells ringing as to the need to review your game surely.

Unfortunately with many players, they will only review their game when things start to go wrong.

I always recommend "The Poker Mindset" as a read for anyone who feels that they there is some huge conspiracy looming in poker. Is it possible to predict the individual players in a hand and deal the hole cards of everyone at the table to set it up?

I have run a bad for over a year 'live' in the past (probably equivalent to a week on line!!!) during this time I have consistently been outdrawn and on some occasions the beats have been too ridiculous for words. However if you play enough it will happen...it is inevitable.

There are many consistent online winners, they don't win because they are new to the site or because the site favours them...I win on FTP, yet there is no reason for the site to do me any favours lol.

The reason people win over time is that they consistently play good poker, they recognise the need to be properly rolled for the inevitable variance that comes with the game and above all, they don't share the conspiracy theories of the persistant losers...They recognise if they are losing, it is simply because they are playing badly.

Do your own simple checks...Every time you get it all in make a note of the hands and the result. When you finish check the equity for each at the time the money went in via Pokerstove and keep a record. There is software that can do this for you, but I find that I prefer my own records. Importantly you must not focus on when you were ahead when the money went in, but also when you are behind.

I am sure that you will find the results enlightening..Also Critically review you own game via Pokertraker or similar and be honest with yourself about what is 'really' going on.

well thx for the long comment, there was a roomer that saying that new players deserve better luck on the start, including winning some redicolous hands.
thats why i thought so but maybe im wrong, about notes,
ill try that, making notes when all in and what happened and see for the long run if it is true what ur saying the online poker is genuine, i considered using poker tracker but didnt yet,

there is any place full tilt saves ur hands?.

if pokerstars wanted to get more money off people why wouldnt they simply deal their cards faster. Faster deals = more hands per hour = more money paid in rake. IMO pokerstars is one of the only sites that tries to protect poker and have it played the way it should be played.

1. Slower deals, fish lose their money slower. ()
2. No regular super turbos, its harder to find a game where people can lose their money by almost gambling without anyone being able to find much of an edge.

Make sure you go into your settings in the FTP client and click on it to save your hand histories as well.

well pokerstars is just fake, i dont like it. i went in a major tourny to the final table and lost AK vs A10 all in pre flop, he raised on late position i shoved from blind and he called my all in of 500k when blinds were 20/40k something like that he raised to 100k, if i won ofc i was chip leader and in a big chance to win, but ofc not,
lost many pair over pair, and my aces just never holds there, i agree with u about the saving the players maybe but the software is just too rigged.

seems to me u guys not having weird hand or very sick or am i wrong? :S

few weeks ago i saw a big tourny final table, AK vs AQ , flop KK5 turn 10 river J, is that normal :S?

Get loads of sick hands and outdraws every day. That's just what happens wherever / whenever you play poker. I would be more worried if it didn't happen TBH

thats my dream :/, without beat i would have won a lot of money, and my skill would be cause good result in tournys and cash games.

well i had some raugh beat on live games aswell so its not very weird, but still got much more on online poker, did any of u played a site with low bad beats? [ i know its a stupid question ]
i mean played both 2 rooms and had less bad beats on one of them? [Poker stars/FTP]?

If you're a good player most of your beats will be "bad beats". It happens to everyone, you just have to be able to move on to the next hand and not worry about the 2 outer or the runner runner straight.

its really hard to stop thinking about it, few times i got tilted and lost a lot money because of it, or lost all my chips on a tournement, on a 3 outer river... =/ is there any medicine for that? :P

I would be more concerned about online gaming being fixed if the normal bad beats you describe did not exist, Of course.

As for winning a lot of money without bad beats, I can assure you that if you can't win.... you can't win... period.

The trouble with a lot of poker players (and I'm not suggetsing you fall into this category) is that they are generally deluded and look for any reason, other than their own poor play to explain why they do not win.
