Default Rush Poker: Get payed $5 to play bonus = Lie?

I got message today in the FTP lobby saying they'll pay me $5 within four hours to try Rush Poker by earning 10 FTP points. So I did and I'm approaching 6 hours w/out any bonus. Has this happened to anyone? Did I have to activate the bonus prior to earning the points? (i hit more info, their site popped up, and the original msg disappeared for good).

    Hey there,

Long story short (see below for details) : you don't need to confirm the promo, just play Rush Poker and earn 10 FTPoints.

I got the same promo message and rushed to play some Rush Poker (pun intended). After quickly earning the 10 points, I waited for the $5 bonus to be credited, even reloading more Rush Poker. After messaging FTP support (after 8h of delay), they said there was no problem with the points and that the money should be credited very soon.... I actually waited 24h to see that money in my account so don't worry, it's just taking them a loooooong time to actually send you the $5.

    Good luck.

Thanks chiudidier, actually as it turns out, I checked the happy hour schedule and learned that I was playing during happy hour. So I went ahead earned some more points. For happy hour, it's the additional pts that don't count right? I still got 5 for that first session, right?

Oh btw, didn't mean to jump to conclusion by saying "lie." That's what I read on another forum.

As far as I know, during happy hour, it's about your base points, so if you were earning double points and you earned exactly 10, 5 went to your getting that $5 bonus.

    Hi,

Yeah, during happy hour you get 2x or 3x of what dew12109 called your "base points". If you were playing during a happy hour, only your base points are counted towards the $5 bonus (so you did earn 5 FTPoints from that session). Therefore, it's good for you to keep playing more Rush Poker

Ok, now there is a problem. Got over 20 FTP points (though in 2 sessions, I'm strictly a tournie player) during happy hour and I still haven't received my bonus

    Gotta contact FTP again

I wish they would offer me this. LOL... probably won't because I already play rush. I went on to see if they were offering to me and there weren't. So I decided to play rush anyway... and went and racked up over 50FTP during the session. I think I completely ruined my chances of ever being offered that... if they would have.

Sometimes the life of a degenerate is a hard one. First one is always free... but once you're hooked, the freebies dry up.

As an aside, I had a truly horrific run on there. Ran AA into KK where he flopped quads (that was nice though because it slowed me down). AK v AT for 20xBB (he hit the T). Broadway v 5-4c... rivered flush. And on and on... it was brutal. My best hand of the night was AK v QQ... when the board came A-K-Q ... I was totally killed. The river K made it all better though. LOL... that hand made up for all my previous losses with a little bonus to make it all better.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.

Nice. It's definitely really easy to have large FTP sessions... I mean, even just grinding $10nl, iron man becomes easily obtainable.

It appears that the only way to get the bonus is to have NEVER played rush before.

FullTilt seems to offer the bonus to introduce the game to players and hopefully get them hooked.

    allthatremains is right.

Slightly ticked off, I earned the remaining points 15 min after midnight EST, but thought I had it b/c I operate on pacific time, talk about a slowroll. And is it coincidence that FTP support contacted me minutes after midnight?

Speaking of which, is it possible to change the timezone?

Sorry but I actually got my bonus...played for exactly 11 points (just in case), it was quick with rush poker, and it actually cost me $4 (set over set ) so the bonus actually gave me a profit of $1, don't know how long it took, cuz i played closed FT and the next day when I opened it up the bonus $$ was there

However, yes I think you get it if you get the bonus message when logging in and have never played Rush prior to getting the bonus message...(i know a friend who played since it began, and never got the bonus message)
