    Default Poker Tracking software

I dont use any poker tracking software what so ever.
I also think that it isnt very just in general. I dont like the fact that people can go and research my stats and certain aspects of my game without me knowing about it.
Its like having a log of every hand youve ever played. I know for some players it probably helps to categorize the thousands of people they play against but shouldnt the players them selves have a say in the matter? I mean, how the hell would some software know how I play on tilt? do they work in a partnership or what?
Is there any way for me to delete my stats or deny people access to them like in the phone book?
You guys got any thoughts on the matter?
Ogres and donks beware... i have a pitchfork!!!

You can't block certain sites from "publishing" your information... but people who play in hands against you at the table cannot be blocked. I don't think you really understand how this software works though.

When it comes to tournaments, I personally don't mind. If I'm a winning player or losing one in the long run, so be it. As to whether this info can be used against me, I think table will find out w/in the next 15 hands whether I'm good/bad player (at least I do).

As to databases that record hand histories (I haven't come across one), then I see your point; they give away your game.

There are two objective ways to look at Tracking software and how to best utilise this information.

Under the end of 2009 I never used tracking software and then in Jan I purchased PT3 for the sole purpose of improving my overall game. If you ask a majority of players who use such software this is exactly the response you will get.

When it comes to HUD stats they are useful but not something I generally pay too much attention to due to Variation. If you see a player with a VPIP stat of over 30 does this make him loose, no he could be getting a nice run of cards and is playing accordingly?

See when I play I will raise exactly the same way all day from any position with ATC. If you take a look at my PF% it would seem to show I am quite loose preflop. Am I well you can figure that out yourself cause if you rely on the HUD stats good luck.

Most of these sites will allow you to be blocked on request (This is not advertisement) OPR and Shark will do it if you are a member and request it. The only one I don’t think does is PTR but I cannot confirm this.

My major issue is the ability to purchase hands, and as far as I am concerned this is a big problem but can it be stopped I can’t see it happening.

If you want to become a better player long term tracking software is a must for any player to allow you the best opportunity to discover your weaknesses and leaks quickly.

so when someone comes to play me in a cash game, whether it be HU cash or SNG or any other form of cash game, they are likely to look me up quickly and see what kind of player I am to get a general picture of me as a player?
I cant do things to counteract this measure cant I? I mean if im characterized a TAG or LAG player (doesnt really matter ofr this demo), cant I then just switch things up a bit more so offset my opponents?

Lol, if you are freaking out about a certain site... I'll just let you know right now that the site is complete crap. I don't know anyone who actually uses that site. Now there is another site where someone can pull up your graph of all your cash game results (although it does miss some hands and stuff) and see whether you are a winning or losing player.

Registration for the website is free however they make their money from ppl purchasing hand history and affilate links

The site will tell you if your opponent is winning or losing cash game player at what levels the good news is since FT launched Rush this site cant read Rush tables as you cannot observe the tables

Holdem Manger claims to have a HUD that works with Rush but it sux and PT also have one again it isnt all that good

So my advice play rush you see more hands get more points and ppl are really dont have a pile of stats on you

On this subject however I do have question re OPR v Sharkscope why to FT shut down OPR's under 30 SNG's yet Shark continues to offer this service? can anyone enlighten me on this
