go for it, but if you lose a few in a row and ur total BR gets a little dented, id move back down for a bit to recover. better yet, dictate a certain amount of money, or a % of your BR for the next level. Play with that at the higher level and see how it goes. if it goes well, great, if not, you lost your budget for that level and you can simply move back down.
Just make sure to balance yourself. You want to be carefull not to risk too much of your BR at this higher level, yet on the other hand, give yourself a fair shot of succeeding.
You might not hit gold the first time. That doesnt mean you should give up.

well gl with that, dont use that as an excuse to keep going up because the reality is, it aint that easy. to get up to 1 mil from 5$ is almost unheard of. I would aim for something a bit more modest at first. You say you have a bit of a problem with staying within your limit, read some BR management book\articles. They help a lot and there are also many members in here who can help you with that specific issue.
gl at the tables. call me when you get to a million.

Be certain you're beating the current level. That doesn't mean a few hundred games but thousands of games. If you're certain you're beating the current limit you can move up with confidence. Variance can be a bitch when you first move up, it doesn't mean you can't beat the level, you might just be running bad. Take care of your BR and you'll get there.
