    Default Barney Frank's bill passes!

It passed by a vote of 41-22. This is a step in the right direction but don't expect things to change overnight. The next committee will focus on the taxes. The current bill suggests an 8% tax, 2% to federal and 6% to states. I wonder if the Obama administration will finally take a stance now that the legalization of online poker has passed a vote. Maybe the tide will start to turn in our favor...

Wow! I hope this is awesome. As long as nothing silly starts happening like it is currently happening in France (I believe), this will be great.

In Turkey, gambling is forbidden. If they catch that you send money to any online poker firm, they send you a court paper that you should pay 2000$'s to the state as a punishment.

But if you play legal betting, there's no problem. (But you have to play with the legal local bet firm... If you sent money to a foreign firm, its forbidden and you are punished if catched...)

So, there are no global poker players from Turkey!

(But in Turkish Cyprus, gambling is totaly free... WTF???)
