    Default Rush Poker or not

I recently started playing Rush Poker and was wondering if others think its worth playing. I find it a little difficult because it plays so fast and I have a hard time getting reads on the players when i play a hand (not that Im that great at reading players). Is there any way to play these better or is it just a crapshoot.
    Thanks for any help

I play Rush for a living. The amount of hands I can play trumps any other form of NLHE for me. It's definitely not conventional poker, but there is a lot to pick up on that can help you out. Just like regular tables, betsizing is one of your biggest tells when you don't have reads. If you're a really good hand reader, it won't be that hard to play against unknowns. You can tell what kind of player you're up against usually right away in the hand. Reads aren't that necessary. You also don't have to worry about table images or playing exploitably. You can only raise with premiums and players won't know you're a tight player. Just play good poker and you'll do just fine.

I love Rush Poker as I can pump out 600-700 hands/hr just 3-tabling, but I don't think it's nearly as profitable as standard tables in terms of winrate (though maybe more profitable in terms of hourly, can't confirm this myself though). I attribute a good chunk of my profit in the micros to simply good reads and understanding what the player thinks of me etc. Sometimes good table selection makes for a good juicy session also.

Also keep in mind rake is higher on FTP than PS at the micros.

Dude, people don't think in micros. Nobody is aware you're even at the table. You don't need reads lol.

Not necessarily true. I've noticed people give me a lot of action if for example I've been cbetting a lot and vice versa, and I get a lot more successful value bets in w/ a lag image. It doesn't take much for a fish to right click my name, scroll to the red color, and write "aggressive donk."

In fact, I believe fish overweigh image in making their decisions too much b/c they think, but on the wrong level: If I've been cbetting a lot w/ a laggy image, do you really think I'll cbet bluff 22T? They think I do...I get their stack....I rub on titty

Rubbing one dollar bills on your titty seems a little awkward imo.

Rush Poker is a videogame that revolves around the "quick fold" button.

It depends on what you define as 'being worth it'.
My experience with RUSH poker..... lots of weak players who will try to take advantage of no player reads... along with some decent TAG players. The advice above about 'bet-sizing' is a good one in my opinion (ie. you'll see some rookies with huge overbets postflop that just don't make sense). Often while playing RUSH I will purposefully make weird bet sizes (ie. huge overbets, lol) in an effort to mislead my opponent, have them believe I'm a fish.
I played it off & on for a few months but have stayed away from it lately. I much prefer the regular tables over RUSH. I'm mostly an MTT player but will play a bit of cash tables occassionally (when I have time restraints or when I just want to get in some hands of deepstacked poker). I find that playing the reg. tables is more helpful in developing my game. I do have a few friends who are playing RUSH tables & doing quite well on them (these same players weren't profitting much on the reg. tables).

As far as RUSH MTT & SNG goes.... tons of really bad players in them. Decent bankroll builders if you're into playing this format. Again I don't bother with it because I prefer to multi-table MTT's (or SNG) instead of playing 1 or 2 RUSH SNG's. I have also witnessed some avg./not so great players who've been quite successful in RUSH MTT/SNG.

You can say the same about regular MTTs haha.

Just be careful. 9-max Rush is a lot different from 9-max regular. You have to adjust for unusually tight games. Vamp up your 3-betting, don't try to get nearly as much value out of hands as you might in normal games, and buckle up for the ride!
