Default Am I A Donk

I was playing a tourney live and i was down to the last 8 people and here is the seat # and stack sizes (seat 1 26,325) (seat 2 18,571) (seat 3 9,762) (seat 4 25,559 also sb)
(seat 5 BB 17698 ) seat 6 13564) we are all plaiyng fairly tight wanting first not really too many bluffs maybe about 1 in every 25 to 40 hands or so very rare bluffs well im in the bb and every body fold but small blind and she min raises to me
( BY THE WAY THE BLINDS ARE 400/800 )
well i get dealt 6 3 and i feel a call will be good shes prolly playin a rags so i call and the flop hit 4 A 7 she bets 800 i call for the chase the turn is 5
she bets 2400 i call now the pot is (9600) the turn is 7 she bets 5000 i wait for a couple seconds then i push my str8 she instantly calls she shows A 7 for trips 7 and i show the str8 she starts yelling about how big of a donk i am so my ? is did i relly play it that bad

Well first of all, you should have lose the hand, or you aren't remembering correctly because if she had A-7 and the board was 4-A-7-5-7, she would have had a full house to beat your straight. And yes, I think you could have played the hand better. I would have folded pf with the blinds so big. As played, you should have just pushed the turn and not waited for the board to pair.

1. Yes, you played every street except, by default, the river incorrectly. Also I'm asumming you meant she had "a seven" and not "A(ace) 7" b/c she would have filled up on the river with A7.

2. If you reallythought she had rags, a re-raise is better than a call preflop. A min-raise screams monster. 6 3 is hardly a hand to be calling bs with. You should have folded.

3. You flopped an inside straight draw and she's betting with an ace AND rags on the board, the latter of which you put her on. You should raise here or fold. If you really thught she had rags and an ace came why are you just calling? GURANTEE she folds her pair if you raise big.

4. Well, now you got a SF draw with your straight. PUSH!!! She's either calling or folding. Either way you don't have to stress when the board pairs or wonder if your out fushed if a spade comes.

5. Now the board is paired. Yes, you still should push, but it should have never gone this far.

6. She should have said "nh" and moved on because here you are trying to improve. You are ready to take step 1 of my 12 steps to being a winner: Admit you are not as good as you think you are. You are on your way to making one less fish in the pond thanks to this lady for criticizing you proving my point to never criticize somebodies play.

7. She is a donk for min-raising preflop in the small blind and ignoring position. I don't know both of her cards or their suit, but she likely played her hand badly. If she only had sevens with no straight or flush draw she shuld have slowed down on the river. I'd have put you on an ace.

In conclusion, if this is an example of your typical playing style then yes you are a donk. However, you are realizing it and for that, kudos to you.

lol mikey, you are a donkey (jk), she must have just a 7 for trips, not A-7 for a boat, as the SB would not have been bitching and moaning about how they lost the hand with trips, when if it was A-7, they would have quietly scooped the pot, said nice game and moved on with a very good chip lead.
