Default anyone playing in any WSOP events

i was thinking of maybe trying the $1500 event at the end of june. if i lost, id be done and go home. if i cashed in that for 8k+, then i would play in the main event. if i cashed for antyhing less, id play the next 1500 a few days before the main event in hopes of cashing for 8kish or so and then playing in the ME. but none of my friends wanna go then or play seriously enough for that kinda money. after all i dont even play for that kinda money, but i would love to give it a shot and experience it a little before i take a stab at the main event in a few year.

Good Luck guys!

I've been told that the lower buy-in tourneys have a lot more value in terms of the luck factor. The ME usually draws 2-3x more people than the lower buy-ins, which gives you a better chance to win if you include the luck factor.

In any event good luck to both of you!

Looking forward to your stories!

Good luck to all those going to Vegas for the WSOP

Since I live in Mississippi, I am saving up my money for when the WSOP hits Tunicia and New Orleans. Also, I would LOVE to get a sat. into the WPT even at the beau! I love that casino! Vegas isn't ready for me just yet. I'd put their buffets out of business

Good and bad news from my experience in the $2,500 NLHE WSOP Event #13. First the good:

-- 1,397 players in a very well run tournament
-- Carlos Mortensen playing at my first table from the start of the tourney
-- Tuan Le joining my first table within 1 1/2 hours of the start of the tourney (he only lasted at my table about 8 hands before going out after pushing preflop with 5/3 and losing to K/J)
-- Playing for about 6 hours with Chris Ferguson
-- Knocking Carlos Mortensen out of the tournament when my str8 beat his trip aces
-- Seeing too many other pros/celebrities to remember them all (Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Clonie Gowen, Andrew Black, David Singer, Jerry Yank, Dr. Jerry Buss, Shannon Elizabeth, Montel Williams)
-- Playing for over 12 1/2 hours of day one
-- Making it into the top 150 of almost 1,400 players

And the bad:

-- Losing when I called an all-in after the flop with A/10 on an board of A/J/5, having my opponent show A/8 and hitting the 8 on the river

All in all, a great experience with a horrible, horrible ending. Had I won that last hand, I would have had more than enough chips to come back for day two and easily get into the money (99 placed paid) for a minimum of $5,300.

Oh well...maybe next year

ouch that's a sick way to go out, sounds like one of full tilt's tricks

sounds like a good experience though, did you manage to pull any big bluffs on the famous players?
