| I think it is preferrable to check it down, only because the all in player's action has ended with his one all in bet...so after the flop it's hard to determine what he might be holding since he has no opportunity to show value by betting. The only time I will bet to push other players out is if I am 100% that I have the nuts and there is no chance for a better hand to overtake mine. A good example of this is earlier I was playing in a game where one player went all in pre-flop, and I and two other players called as we had her well covered. The flop came Q 3 K....everyone checked except one guy who insisted to bet the pot...I folded (99) and the other remaining player called... The turn came off 4...again, the pot-better bet big, and the caller called... The river was 7. The pot better bet big again and the caller called. The all in player held AA and the pot-better had KJ...the caller had Q 9...
