Ouch, So close! U still did very well. I'm sure it came down to a coinflip, as it usually does in that spot. Maybe next time.

No unfortunately I simply took on the big stack (more like the huge stack...he had about 250K) and lost. The sad thing is, the board was something like 8K8A7 or something like that (I know the first 4 are right just can't remember the river) and I held the A, and had put the BS on the K...turned out he held the 8. Just a bad read on my part, but I hadn't played with the guy for very long, so wasn't entirely sure he'd be loose enough to play the 8. But, as I said, it was a good game and I'm not upset, just a little disappointed, but then, who wouldn't be?

I know how you feel. I was in a 360man Poker After Dark freeroll where the top 2 won entries. I had the chiplead at one point, but went out 3rd...lol, I can remember being soooo sick...lol

Well I've won one of those PAD round 1s before, but didn't get any farther than that. Also won a seat to Midnight Madness once as well, also didn't fare too well in that either.

This particular one, by the last 3 of us, I was 2nd in chips, with something like 80K +/- can't remember exactly but the Leader had well over 250K, and was just pounding everyone he came across. What's funny is I had developed a chip lead pretty much the whole game until it came down to the last 2 tables, at which point the new Leader seemed to just dominate everything. It was a really good game though and it was actually one of the more fun games I've played there.

I was watching that 360 tourney, you played the hand right just a matter of badluck (being that he had an 8).

I just finished a tourney at FT(57060858), $2 +.25 re-buy tourney. I bought in and then did a $2 add-on, it got down to 3 left, 1st had me by 10k, i had 3rd by 50k.

i get 88 and the short stack raises, i call
flop come 10 7 3
he checks, i put him all-in, calls
88 vs AKos well wouldn't ya know the river was an A.

blinds are 5000/10000 and now i have 50k left, all-in with J10s get called by 66 end of story

the good news is that i made $85.25 profit

That's pretty damn cool of you.

Obviously you would have liked to make some money, but that's still a pretty good achievement.
