Default Full Tilt Poker: New Knockout Tourneys........

Has anyone played in one yet? They just started yesterday (11/2). Basically for those not familiar with them yet, they take a small portion of the prize money and for every player you eliminate from the tourney, you are automatically credited a small amount. The $3 one I played in ended finishing up 10th for 20 bucks and got another $4.25 for knocking out 9 players (50 cents each, I tied with another player for one so got .25 for that one). I really like this idea and the tourneys were really drawing an good number of people. Also, at least if you don't finish ITM, this still gives you a chance to get some of if not all of your entry fee back. Besides, how many times have you had a killer first hour and then went card dead or had one bad hand against another big stack and were gone before ITM time? Just wanted to get some thoughts on this.

Yes, these tourneys have around on UB for a while and are quite popular. The thing that is nice about these is everyone want the bounty so if you play your game right its so easy to go deep. Also players drop alot faster because of this. These tourneys are very donkish so use them to your advantage.

They just started doing them recently on FT. If you look at the tourney calendar there, any one with a little black K next to it is a Knockout tourney.

Poker.com ( i think) has been doing it for awhile now and I think they're version is a bit different and more interesting. It takes into account how good you are (somehow, maybe frequency of cashes in tournys...i dont know excatly) and the "best" player has the biggest bounty, 2nd best has 2nd biggest bounty and so on.
