I have played Absolute for over a year. Their Multi table tourneys are pretty loose, especially at the lower buy-in levels. Usually half of the players are gone in the first 45 minutes.

Sit and Go's are surprisingly harder. Much more talented players at the Sit and Go's. They don't offer turbo tables so the average 1 table tourney will last over an hour.

Raked tables are the same as any other site. Mostly fools who will fish with any hand.

Their re-load bonuses are frequently %15-25. They offer these about 4 times a month. Bonuses are much easier to reach than at most sites. They currently release $5 for every 20 points earned.

Overall I would give them a thumbs up.

I play on pokerstars. It seems to me that the suckouts are the norm and that bad players are rewarded for chasing more often than not. Are all online poker sites like this? or is this just my iagination from one too many bad beats?

Do not give your business to Absolute or Ultimate Bet. Absolute has been proven to have cheating insiders who were using super user accounts. Ultimate Bet is currently under suspicion for similar allegations.

You can goto google or Two Plus Two Publishing forums and search for the relevant threads.

Badbeats occur on any site I think. Are you really sure you're getting sucked out on hard or is it simply a case of, we remember the bad ones and never dwell on the good hands?

Pokerstars has the most players and best customer service in the industry, however they don't have rakeback and unless you are a HIGH volume player, their fpp/vpp rewards aren't as good as rakeback.

Full Tilt has 2nd most players, ok software, so so customer service but they are the biggest site that provides rakeback. What do you mean FT went to sht? One thing I do not like is their software since they came out with the resizable tables update is pretty buggy. It's slow, lags and fcks around with the volume of my computer all the time. It's been like this for months and they keep adding new features but cant seem to fix these problems.

You could try the euro sites but the problem with them is game selection. They have alot fewer players and sometimes it's impossible to find a game...so you end up doing the bad thing and playing at the only game available which might be above your stakes. It's true, on pokerheaven sometimes i'll be on a NL100 table and guys with $7.87 will come and sit down, and it's obvious they are doing so because there are no lower games going on.

It is true that Absolute Poker was the target of a cheating scandal, where a person that had been working for them had got access to hole cards.

An investigation was carried out, and by resolution Absolute Poker is now subject to random checks by the gaming commission and under its watchful eye. So as weird as it may sound, the room might currently be on the top end of security, as they are now being monitored by a 3rd party.

Default Sites and suck outs

Back in the first casinos when they used CASH the casinos were not making enough money. Then one of them went to chips and profits went through the roof all others followed, It took the cash and feeling of loosing cash away. Now we have online and there is no feeling of loss as you cant even feel your chips. I think that is why there are so many more people playing hands they might of folded dirung a real cash game or in a casino....

cos theres no such thing as a "random number generator" at least a computer can't truly generate a random number. PSEUDO-random is the key here, as in pretty much random but still follows a pattern.

Am I the only one who can call cards while multi-tabling based on what cards are out? Does anyone else see the patterns of cards?

Put up 4 tables and watch...
You'll see for example 6-8-T club, club, heart on screen a
6-T-8 heart, heart, club on screen b..

Anyone else see this?

Default Absolute

I have played at Absolute for months now and have never had an issue. The software has never crashed and with dial-up, speed is not a factor and my bankroll is increasing.

Online is a haven for fish, they act out of line with both their chips and mouths.

As for multiple tables, often I play more than one table at at time so I see where there are similiar flops once in while, but I tend to notice more when a flop on one table helps my hand on the other table, even if the same rank and suit shows. It seemed like it was happening all of the time, but when I started to really look at the situation, it really did appear to be random. Poker players have a great memory of the hands they lose and not so great a memory of all the wins that build the bankroll.

If you do not trust a site, do not play for money or free, simple as that.

See you on the felt, or monitor in this case.

Yes, this did happen. the old ceo was doing this with a super acct. They won one tourney and everyone at ap caught on right away. They were also doing this in the 1,000 buy in. noone is going to go through the trouble to rig small games. noone playing a $20 sngo should be thinking that its rigged, cause that is bologna

So they cheat their customers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, get caught, and you're just going to ignore it because you think they won't bother you .....and give them your business?

We the customer have choices in everything we pay for. If you don't use this choice to support legitimate business (and punish the shady ones), it just gives more incentive to the scummy business such as Absolute to cheat.

The cheater was very stupid because they didn't even bother to hide the fact that they were cheating. If they were smart about it, they wouldn't have done it at the hghest stakes (where the number of players is much small, tighter community, adept at noticing peculiar things), they wouldn't have cheated so blatantly...if they had any ounce of brains, they could have done cheated like this and probably gone undetected forever and milked the players of millions of dollars eventually.

The fact that their software has this ability for a superuser should be reason enough for you to not trust that they won't abuse that power.

Yep, someone had the super account. Absolute refunded many dollars and admitted it happened (of course after all the proof was there). Like Mollila said, this site right now may be the most secure out there with the scandal hanging overhead and 3rd party audits. One more event like before and the site will surely die.

If you think your poker site is the Fort Knox of online poker, you are mistaken. There are all sorts of scams out there on the internet and poker rooms are full of them. You have to tread lightly wherever you play and keep aware of your bankroll, passwords and other info.

As to no one cheats at the 10-20 level, another falsehood. I have heard reports of many bots working the cash tables at that level. These reports are coming from the biggest poker sites! And, yes there are many people with multi-accounts playing more than one user at a time.

Like I said before, if you do not trust the site you are at, play somewhere else and never play for more than your bankroll allows.

And of course, get your Rakeback, it is a nice monthly bonus in the poker account.

i play at alot of sites UB, AP, FT, Bodog, Doyle's Room, and Carbon Poker. I generally play at FT or Carbon. However if you were to switch to another room i would probably pick UB, i like the knockout tourneys and they also have tables where you can use your UB Pts as chips.
