| last week i played this freeroll freerollchamp it was a tourney with just over 300 entrance. when i started i was hungry and wanted to get some food so i checked the box sit out my first hand i only got a peek at it and saw it was KK what a bad timing to get hungry![]() after still having 1500 i was determined to play tight few hands later i pick up the same KK again i raised it too 300-400 i guess the other guy goes all-in too having 1010 noone flops something and i double up too 3000 next hand i get AT i raise it but everyone folds like 3-4 hands later again i pick KK a player who had been playing loose raised all-in for 750 off course i called he showing A2 and the flop came AX2 so devistating i lost the hand but still an average stack of 2300 then i guess it was 3 hands later i got KK for the fourth time i forgot all about my decision of playing it tight but thought i should play it tight (and now things start to get serious) im in first position to play and raise it up too 100 with 25/50 blinds everyone folds and i get a call from the small blind we see the flop and its J47 so he checked and i raised pot that was 250 he calls and we now see the turn J47-5 i raise too 500 in the 750 pot he instantly goes all-in having me covered off course having kings i call it he shows me 103clubs with only 1 club on the board we see the riverJ47-5-6 and he gets his 4 outer straight and that was the last freeroll i played that day. My question for today did i play it right before deciding to play tight or did i play it good cause i knew i was ahead? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| in my humble opinion : 200, 250 or All-in ![]() No limping UTG in freerolls : Too many newbies never raise preflop and will be please to create a familly pot which is a bad case for your KK even if you should win. |

As to the OP, if you get all the money in ahead, then you can't do any more than that. But the minraise is terrible, just make a standard raise to 175-200 Oh and lastly, noone needs to read any more 'bad beat' stories thanks :/ |

| yep god forbid you should get all the money in with your opponent having four outs. how much would you have paid the dude to go all in on the turn? at least 5 bucks. irishpoker we can't all play as well as you. i'll keep practicing. |
