Default Mind Set

I think anyone can do good in a tournament If they put their minds to it. i seem to place in tournaments anyways when i believe in myself. If you seem to be on a losing streak, just try It trust me it works. If you set down at a table and get discouraged then you are going to lose because you have a megative attitude.

As with everything in life, it takes a PMA or Positive Mental Attitude to succeed!!
This was the key for me to succeed in recovering from dying four times and spending 3 months in a full coma, if it weren't for the PMA I would have absolutely NO reason to live.

sound logical allen, but it's not true that when you sit down and are really focused and positive thinking that you'll automatically make it into the money. In my case, i always try to avoid the coinflip, but somehow i always end up in one, and the outcome of that will decide whether i'll make the money or not.

Default Mental

A positive attitude is always preferred over the alternative.

Is it a guarantee for success? No. But when the true crossroads appear where a critical decision is to be made, a positive clear mind will better suit your desired results. This is true in poker and in life. Not all outcomes are reached, sometimes the plan through result is not as thought.

In poker (and life) if you can overcome the letdowns and unexpected events, you will be better prepared for the next step down the road.

For the die-hard poker player, the game does not end with a bad beat or even a big win. It is a life long game where you need to take the good with the bad, there will be both. Learn from the past, do not dwell and the future steps will be easier and more enjoyable.

Amen!!! +10000 Chips

I also want to add to this. After me and my now ex-wife seperated, I went thru a depression then one night, I had a realization. This is the only life you get, play hard, aggressivly and never live to regert doing anything! I know I don't want to be on the bed before the lord calls me home, saying "You know, I wish I would have entered that event" or " Man if only I folded that Aces, i'd be a millioniare today". Live every day to it's fullest, because even life has huge varience swings, your up or down. Take the good, with the bad and play incredible poker. Just don't let the outside world bring you down when your playing and just be happy, that as poker players, we too might one day, sit with our names on a plaque somewhere, saying we accomplished something huge by winning a major tourney. I know one day I will.
