Can't there be more options in the poll? I mean 3 of the 4 you suggested are horrible anyways, so I go with 3xBB

Default not really

i see a DUMB Move all-in 3x is best .. 2 x is for rookies and call is a slow play.. and u might not want that this early...

1) a call is not a raise
2) I never minraise
3) "it depends"
4) "it depends"
5) there are many better ways to play also... when it comes to them, "it depends" still applies

Actually there's already a good discussion going on about raising.

Do you use it #1- The Standard Raise

It's whether to use the standard raise, but gives a better idea of being more aggressive. Like Frob said these options are a little limited. You might need to raise 4xbb or 5xbb. Some situations more, some situations less.

You should read it.

Default I have

Yes i have read it and i figured this would be a good spin off. You guys got to remember All Online Poker Players On this Site Dont have a Huge Bankroll .. and are still In the Learning Stages.

The Imput You guys are giving Might Sound Boneheaded To the rest of Us. But the Armatures Might Not Be Able to Afford Books to Polish Up.

I mean Seriously. The attitude of Some Of You Posting Members. Is Quite Rude. Not Everyone Spends their Entire Paychecks. on Poker and Come here To Bust Chops.

Please Done Be So Rude "IN YOUR REPLY" Some Amateurs Might take it Take It as someone Offended Them.

Thanks Keep the Reply's Comming

Default Depends

AK is a special hand. Suited, It is good enough to be ranked a top 5 starting hand with most having it in spots 3,4 or 5. Non suited, it drops a few spots. AK math wise is 14th best, with all the pairs above it. But it is a wonderful big drawing hand, it can be played at times after the flop even when you do not get a piece of it.

I can not answer the poll, since position, reads, chip stack, game type, and more comes into the final decision making. There are times to call, raise, and yes push all-in with AK (short stacked). I would never raise 2XBB with any hand, 3XBB is the least you should raise before the flop.

AK is a good starting hand, but often needs help to win.

Thanks,
