Default Sitting Out......Screwing up the tourneys

Isnt anyone getting sick and tired of the people who register in tournaments and do not play in them and end up sitting out and just checking on the BB and folding every hand... it gets kind of annoying when you and one other person play the game and the rest of the table sits out the whole tournament until they are eliminated.....Im just saying how I feel......lol

it's free uncontested money. I don't understand what your problem is? I, for one, love to know that when I raise the blind he is going to fold 100% of the time. lol.
Also, there are a lot of variables that go into somebody getting disconnected. When I moved I tried a new ISP and it turned out to be total garbage, so I had to switch back. There were a number of SNG's and MTTs that I got disconnected from. It's not just somebody registering for a tournament and then sitting out. They obviously had plans on playing.
Have you ever been to a live game where everybody paid in advance and somebody gets blinded off?
It's just part of the game.

I have to agree with IFix...although under certain situations it can be annoying, it is free money. I have lost count of the number of tourneys i entered and been the only player to show up at the table. QUICK, EASY, MONEY

YES

Its about time someone's come out with this,I couldn't agree with you more, its very annoying.(I always seem to get on a table with 75% sitting out)I know there only freerolls but why register if you're not going to play.I can't see the logic in it.

I also don't like it when people, leave it till the very last second to play every hand, its not that hard to call $15-$50 blinds or fold(your playing a freeroll).Ok if your down to the bubble ,play slow, but to do it from the very first hand .WHY ?

Simple solution to this is to not open the registration until 1 hour before the tourney, this way, most people that will want to play will be online and in the site, rather than registering 5 days before and forgetting about it.

That's a damn good question.

On the topic itself. While it really is annoying, IFixlexus is correct: it is uncontested money. No matter what hand you got, raise and take the blinds. That is a HUGE advantage once the blinds are getting high.

What really bothers the shit out of me though is how in EVERY damn tournament people start slowing their play down once we are close to money. They just wait until their time is up, then fold, and they do this over and over and over and over and over until enough people have been eliminated so that they've made the money. I can understand it, but it's still extremely annoying.

Default The whole excitement factor is ELIMANATED

When you sign up for a tourney and you are excited to play and them you sit down a min. before and make your bet then you make another. The next thing you know everybody is folding all the time and it becomes boring for one hour the biggest pot you can take down is 90 chips. All I am saying is it takes the fun basically out of it.

Thanks,
Aarrick12

The sites should have a time limit (absolute does) to where you have to play or get booted out of the tourney...yes free money but is it the challenge of winning the chips more satisfying than just blinding out a sit out player?? I do!

i dont think just taking off the people who have registered in a tourney is fair because there are so many variables like somecomputers freeze or the internet connection is down. I feel the people who have registered and are not able to play for some reason should unregister and let others have a chance. Just because it is free dont register and not play.

Very simple when there sitting out & you don't bet or raise to the sitting out players & they have a better hand they win.
I always raise the first hand because of the sit outs.(9 times out of 10, I end up on a table, with if not all sit outs, then at least 6-7 of 9 sitting out) & its not just on freerolls either, but freerolls are the worse.(guaranteed min 3-5 sit outs in a freeroll)So if your in a hand with sit outs, just put a small raise in.

Hey buddy
If you bet or raise when your playing a person sitting out you can't lose(unless, if its there last hand & there all in)You must bet ,just put a small bet/raise & they fold, you win.

Except that the blinds go up every 10-15 minutes or so. Fun or not, you steal blinds when their at for example 200-100, and your stack grows tons each round.

I don't mind when people sit out at all. I can open my game up a bit and just collect there chips with a min raise or small bet.

I agree that its free money..What is frustrating is if there are only two of you at the table playing and the other person seems to get all the hands or if they are sitting next on your left...I have had only one or two tournaments where the other player was willing to split the free blinds and wait until other players are at the table to start playing...I understand you are trying to win all the chips but with a little cooperation between two players those people who didn't show up will be blinded out of the tourney in 30 to 45 minutes...
