SNG Bubble

How do you play the bubble in a single table sit and go? It is down to 4 and the top three get paid.

I used to get super aggressive here, not caring about finishing 4th, just 1st. While this is not the worst of plans I have adjusted my play a somewhat with 4 remaining. I still play for 1st, but realize a 2nd or even a 3rd is better than not getting paid.

I am not afraid to push all chips in if low stacked and 7-10 BB remaining (I believe you can go a little lower at a single table than 10XBB), pretty straight forward play. I am also not one of those players that will fight another to see who can get grinded out first. I will not let my stack dwindle to 1-200 just to get paid 3rd. I will shove with a lessor hand if necessary.

On the other hand I would rather get paid then not, so I find myself playing just a little tighter when down to 4, not enough to get run over, opening up once down to 3. I do not completely tighten up at 4, but will show a little caution when contemplating a bet.

I also celebrate passing the bubble knowing some cash is going into the account from the game. just a quick celebration, then onto the task of winning the thing.
