Default suck out of the year

im not gonna post the whole hand cause its pretty simple

heads up, pretty much even in stack size

i have 89suited, other guy has 55

preflop raises then flop comes

558 with potential flush (none of the cards i needed to make my 89 a flush)

alot of action happens till werer eventually all in (bad play by me to call there i was just looking to gamble)

so he flopped quads, i have a crappy 2 pair.

i got runner runner 8 to make a better four of a kind.

INSANE!!! SO SICK!! ive never felt so bad for another player in my life.

so im asking if anybody has ever recieved or a given a bad beat at a level like this one.

the only one i can think of is when dan negranu called out the runner runner cards to give him a straight flush on the heads up championship

Sweet runners (if you are not on the receiving end).

Jonathank you had more outs to draw out there than raterrana437, who had to draw exactly runner 8's to win. An Ace on the turn would have given you 2 outs to draw on the river for a better full house.

yeah, rateranna needed perfect perfect.
I had JQ with Q diamonds the other day in a HU cash table.
Flop comes AJ10 all diamonds. Turn 8d, river 9d
We both got all our money in on the river and of course, he had the K7 both diamonds. He slow played it for me too. I owe him one.
Lucky me. Very lucky me.

earlier this year in HU nl hodlem i had a 2 card strait flush which beat my opponents 2 CARD STRAIT FLUSH!

is that even possible. if i had been on the other end i think i would have cried.

he 4h5h
me 9h10h

I think this one would qualify for Gus Hansen saying 'sick, so sick'

You know i can recall very few of my bad heart breaking beats. (except a select few which still literally bring tears to my eyes when i think about them).

I just know they will come early and often. If i focused on the negative, I would not be able to play effective poker.

Default Worst beat I have ever taken

The worst beat I have ever experienced was actually in a live game. It is the second hand I see. I raise preflop out of the small blind (game is 200nl) to 20 dollars, I get one caller. I have KK. Flop comes K 8 4. Rainbow. I am thinking, this guy is going to give me all his money if an Ace hits. So, I check. I could have saved myself 200 dollars if I had bet right there. Turn comes 5. I am thinking that I need to get him putting money in the pot. So i bet 20 dollars. He raises it to 65 dollars. Well perfect right? I call because there is no flush possibility right now. Board is showing K 8 4 5. River 5. We both get all our money in and I go broke to his pocket fives. On my second hand.

the best/worse bad beat i have put on some one was

I have pocket ace in bb limp in have sb and one other in hand
Flop come a k k
sb bets 3x pot for 1500
i call with a fullhouse
3 player folds
turn is junk
sm goes all in with pocket kings for 4 of a kind kings I have aces over kings fullhouse
rivers comes and ummmmmm well the last ace for 4 of a kind for me with aces and him 4 of a kind with kings now that is a true bad beat.

I got myself a huge bad beat some months ago..
I had 99 in a tournament and hit my set of nines on a Q93 board (or something like that)
I go allin and got a call from 44 (he was kind of pot commited), turn: 4.... river: 4. His four of a kind 4's beat my full house 9 over 4.
I could only laugh about it, he had no runner runner straight or flush outs. Think its the worst bad beat that is theoretically possible.

Highly improbable of course, but anything can happen. I believe Pokerstars is an example for all other online poker rooms, as their random number generator has been evaluated by two different independent organizations.

Same exact thing happened to me one time in a cash game on PokerStars, only difference was I had QQ and flop was Qxx.

Worst beat so far:
rakeback tour #2, 20 players left. I had about 24k in chips and the maniac had about 100k or more. Pretty big blind level, I was kind of short stacked so I cheered when I got KK. The maniac raised 25k preflop and everybody else folded. He was raising big all the time and other guys doubled up because of this. On the other hand, if he would have had anything near AA he would have went all in like before (lol). So I call and he shows 44. Flop comes X 4 Y and nothing more to make any difference. All I wanted was to get to the final table, but instead I cashed in $3. It sucked big time, but the more I think about it the more I realise that I would play that hand exactly the same in the same situation 1000000000 more times.

Had 3h4h opponent had AA, flop came Ah 2h 7c, player with A's went all in and I called, turn Ac, he jumped up and down thinking he won the pot, and then that dreaded river...5h. This was in a live tourney on final table. He went out first. On the same table I hand JhKh and hit a royal flush on the turn knocking out 3 players...Eventually went on to come 2nd and cash $29500

that are sick story's there people!
but i have a question for you all.
I play a lot at Jokerstars and full tilt, but it surprises me sometimes that the river take sow long, and then the river gave you or youre opponent his hit. I have seen it a lot, a friend of mine wass one of the unlucky persons. He had AA suited, and the flop shows us A 3 3, he checks and all the 4 players behind him checks too. The turn was an K a very nice card for everyone who thinks he had a great hand. My friend checks again, and the guy behind him makes a bet. It wasn't a wrong move from him too reraise him all in, and there was the call he had an 3K!
But then the river came, but it taked very long before he came. And from all the cards in the deck, was the river an 3.
that cant be, that all those time that we waited on the river it was the same card, how do you all think about this story?

I'm glad that i havend get such a bad beats like you all, but that one was a sick one.
