Default Vegas Poker Rooms

Hi all. I'm headed to Las Vegas 7/31 - 8/3 and would like your opinions of the poker rooms out there. I'm mostly interested in playing tournaments. Will be staying at Planet Hollywood, but would love to hear your thoughts on the tournaments, rooms, skill level, blind structures, etc.

Any input would be great.

check out allvegaspoker.com I read that site frequently.

Many many good reviews about poker rooms and tournament discussions. If you play at PH, be sure to get a players card before you register for any tourney, you get more chips if you have one. Next time I am in Vegas, I plan to play the TI Headhunters tourney, hear its a great tourney.

The site has a chart with all tournies on on. Good luck in Vegas!

I really liked Caesars when I was out there. Huge tourneys and good cash games.

Thanks for the site info, Juice. Very informative.

If anyone else has more details about the daily tournaments, please let me know.

It's been 5 years since I lived out there, but as far as I can remember, I know Golden Nugget was always having some kind of poker things going on. Also Bellagio, Rio, and Monte Carlo if I remember correctly also had a lot of poker tourneys and such. I wish I could be more help, but it's been a long, long time, and Vegas is ever-changing

Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip!

I was in Vegas last month, and played that headhunter tournament in Treasure Island that you mentioned. And yes, it was fun Although I didn't do good in it. But I'd suggest trying it out. The TI poker room is pretty small, but they have great high hand jackpots. The best royal flush was around $5000.

Skill levels are really low on the below $100 buy in tournaments. In Flamingo where we played a couple of tournaments with my friend the participants are mostly middle aged or older tourists who play very loose. Blind structure is steep, so it feels like a live turbo tournament.

Caesars Palace has a big poker room with lots of cash games and tournaments.
