FT has freerolls thru out the day, however they only pay the top 27, at AP they have them every 1-2hrs they pay the top 63, alot of sites offer freerolls, just have to find the ones that suit you.

get a comfortable chair ...........and some good music

and dont start making foolish moves just to break up the neverending monotonous boredom that makes up about 80% of your avg freeroll

Pokerroom has some decent payout freerolls, but it always has 3000 ppl in them so its going to take a looooooooong looooooooooong time and lot of lucky situations to win from them.

B2B sites also hold a fair number of freerolls, but the money isnt all that good.

FTP has 100$ freerolls but every time I played them, they were filled with allinners for the first 3 levels. Impossible to pay any hand, even AA, because of the fact that almost half of the table is going allin PF with foolish hands, just to get their coinflip..

Be prepared to fold good hands just because of the all-in freaks the freerolls attract, play tight aggressive and get deep. FT is hard to crack because you get all-in nutters at every stage of play, even down to the final table. Have cashed a few times but it takes a lot out of you. GL wherever you play

Default No Early Bluffing

You can not bluff until later in a freeroll. There are plenty of all-in donks as previously mentioned. Play solid hands and hope to hit some flops.

But, you must accumulate chips so you will / should play with a more aggression and less fear than a buy-in tourney, which equates to risking all your chips against the donks. You can make a little cash from freerolls, but there is much more luck involved in them with the style of play you will find there.

I think playing only freerolls could taint your style and lead to costly habits down the road. Put up a little dough and you will not only play in more enjoyable games, but your skills will better increase and the payout for a long grind will be far greater than the lesser tourney.

Good Luck

Indeed. Most important is to fod all multi-way allin if u wish to continue and make your winnings rather by loose callers than psycho allinner donks.

Before the first break its usually very tight line of a few selected hands that u should play hard and after the first break start to loosen up. The second break is the earliest I use bluffs unless the pot is begging to get out of the weak table and needs to be picked up.

Thats a good one too. Unless u know for a fact that there are just a few active players in there. This was u can avoid being brushed out by a single active player in a 10 hander tournament table.

Default Play

Instead of sitting out, play one or more real money games and keep the freeroll going on the side. Play only monsters early in the free roll, if you get beat, you get beat, it is free. Why sit out the first hour when you may get aces or kings or even hit on a cheap flop. You need to make it deep into a freeroll for small sums of cash so an early out is not all that bad......you just sign up for the next freeroll.

Good Luck

Default heres my opinion on freerolls

i ply noting but fr cause i can't afford to play money right now...i do get invites to money games from forums of course and pokerstars is good at invites...so is nlop.com national league of poker, I have sat out of games the 360's and 460's it posted your blinds for u while sitting out and ended up being in the last hundred,, now is the time to play....u need chips to last , i loose most of my games due to no chips...i have placed 4,5,and 8th on final tables..at after dark rd 1 now those games i just plain lost...to better hands...the all in's early in the game are horrible to deal with but sit back only bet on the best hands and yes sometimes u just might hit a flop on your blinds...but sooner or later u will have to get aggressive...i have found that alot of plyrs get their chips by going all in and pushing..takin the blinds ...i don't agree with it...but well they get father than i do...just watch out for them they are good...i have called a few and actually beat them due to the fact that they was just trying to push..if u believe u have a very good hand and can back it up ...do it...enjoy...u will quickly be able to tell the difference between a chip thief and someone who actually plays their hand.

Default freerolls

I just finished playing a freeroll on full tilt...a player by the name of G1ACOMO was running late and attempting to go all in to leave the game...many players say "I gotta go" only to push all in and make a few bucks...the only reason I believed this one is because I've played with him before and he's actually a good player.

What's funny about this situation is, from a mere 4K in chips, he managed to all in himself up to almost 70K !! He was hopping mad about it too, which I find hilarious. He finally lost it all and was happy to leave, but it took him a whopping 40 minutes to lose, after going all in every single hand.

This is just one example of why freerolls are not the best atmosphere for seasoned players...

PS >>> Another player mentioned something interesting: he said that full tilt has a software glitch that automatically favors the big stack... I wouldn't have believed it but after watching G1ACOMO I can't help but wonder LOL

Hi Peta feel free to add me to your player list and look me up sometime. I haven't been playing cash all that much on Full Tilt recently, but wouldn't mind a good SNG. The name on FTP is the same as in here.

Well, I have only played the freerolls at Full Tilt. I think they are fun, but you definitely do not want to take the beats too personally. People play and act crazy in these things, but if you can manage to not lower your game style to their level you can do well. I agree with one of the other posts that you must not let the boredom get to you!!

Good luck,

Erin
