I have looked at quite a few tournaments, and some of them have had pretty big entry numbers - with some pretty big pots!! What has been your longest Tournament? While the bigger tournaments offer some good money, Im not sure that I could keep my concentration for such a long time. Is it only me or do others have a similar problem?

I won one tournament that had 250 entries. From start to finish with two breaks the tournament lasted 6 hours. It was a lot of fun and I had some great luck and finally won the $2,300.00 prize. I can't wait to get back to the casino that I played this tournament at.

The longest live tournament i've played in took about 4 hours at the casino. There were 60 entrants and we split the pot with 6 people left. The buy in was 100 dollars so each of us got a grand. So about 250 dollars an hour isnt bad =) ive played some grueling freerolls with thousands of people that took about 6-7 hours. Wouldnt really recommend it lol

Longest online tourney I've played was a 470 entry $10 buy in which I won . Started at 10.30pm and ended at 2.45am. Ive never been as awake as I was on that final table. Ive also played a shootout on Party that lasted for ages. I made the final table out of 500 people and that lasted about 3 and a half hours. (Ended up busting about 8th for a measly $35 or so, crappy payout structure there where u win money at each stage depending on your chip count when it gets down to 3 people left and your chips carry over to the next stage).

My longest is about 5 hours; that's close to my limit. I have never seen how some people could just play for hours and hours. I would fear losing my edge and starting to be careless. Of course, I'm sure that' s how some people win...they have the stamina to outlast the others at playing sharp.

i think the longest i lasted in a tourney was a $2 tourney and i made it into the money, it took a couple hours. But i have the problem with losing focus on the one game. Thats why i like to stick to cash games so i can multitable.

I entered a $20 Deepstack tourney on ps once. 2nd biggest mistake of my life. I think about 350-500 people entered it, and I last over TEN HOURS. And after TEN HOURS, and I honestly don't think I'm exagerating, there were still 50 people left. You started with 10,000 chips, blinds 10/20 and go up every 45 minutes. They have changed it to starting with 5,000 and blinds 10/20 going up every 30 minutes I think. At the time I was thinking/knew the smaller the blinds = more play = better players have a better chance of winning. TEN HOURS.

The longest I have gone is about four hours. Like some others, after that I start to lose the edge and concentration. Thus, I don't enter tournaments with such a large pool of players that it will result in a much longer time of play than that. I think it's important to know your limits and play within them.

I played a online tourney took about 6 hours till i got eliminated in 12 or 13th somethin like that.. it was a decent payout but i was burnt out by than... I can't imagine playing for days like them at the main event.

yeah those deepstacks on ps are excruciatingly long. i've made it deep in a few of them, and i always lose some focus after about 5 or 6 hours. i like the structure, that it favors the better players, but come on..... i guess i just don't have the dedication ![]()

I played in a tourney at a casino in bolton with a buy in of 1ooo pound. (Quaslified in a satelite at the same casino the night before) Made it to day 3 but was out within 10 minutes of the first blind level of that day. Was happy tho made 5000 pound profit. Wish my normal job payed that well lol.

The longest tournament Online I have played in was the Bet365 5k tournament. I am USA, so can no longer play it, but I won it once and it took me 8 or 9 hours. My hindend felt like it was on fire. But it was well worth it. I at least made serious cash. I have won AP/VP twice and both times it took me 4 or 5 hours to make under 30 bucks......so where is my intelligence?
