Default Winning Streaks

We've had several postings about heads-up play lately. This got me to wondering about winning streaks in heads-up play. What is your longest winning streak? Mine is 12 so far.

My longest losing streak is 10 painful games.

Do you feel that the wins and losses tend to come in streaks or is it just random?

my longest winning streak I believe was 9 games and my longest losing was 7.

and YES, they do come in streaks, but I hate it when my streak end before I can make up to the $1,100 HUSnGs LOL jk

last night almost broke my record, had 6 str8 losses before I finally got a W. I was -$300 but managed to come back.

Just checked the leaderboards on Sharkscope regarding heads-up streaks. One guy won 37 in a row!!! He has also won 60 of the 69 heads-up matches that he's played.

How in the world is this possible?

Default winning streaks

winning streaks and losing streaks deffinitely come in streaks not just random... My longest winning streak for hu sngs was 37 my longest losing was 4 ... now those numbers are very good so if your streaks arent like that dont be down on yourself most streaks are 10 winning or so and 5-8 losing.

How in the world did you win 37 in a row?

On what site do you play and under what name? Want to watch you sometime.

I bet at least some of that comes from challenging the same guy again, right away. You keep playing the same guy and they get more and more tilted and your edge becomes extreme. I did see someone post some SS stats of a guy who lose like a dozen matches in a row and just kept challenging the guy over and over... losing some insane amount (about $85,000).

On top of that, some people are REALLY bad at HU play... and if you're lucky enough to find 37 in a row... unless something unfortunate happens... you're likely going to win all 37.

I also so that record and quickly came to the conclusion that he set it up, playing himself or friend, agreeing to toss every match just to have that record. GUARANTEED. Bet it was at lowest stake as well. If you want to pay me $40 an hour, Ill let u pummel me for 70 matches so u can own the record, paying my expenses of course. Or you can find a friend.
Of equal skilll level the odds of winning 70 HU matches in a row is 1 in 1,180,591,620,000,000,000,000

Hmmmm, Good question is what is the name of that number, Gazillion? Lol
Ahem buy the way wining 37 in a row(cough) 1 in 137.439 billion, so tell me another one pinoccio

Ok these numbers are the odds of wining basically 37 coin flips in a row starting with the next one, so thay are are bit skewed. Let's say u have a huge advantage, we'll say a 2 to 1 advantage on someone, 37 in a row is 38,239 to 1. So if you were able to play the same peasant in a row about 40,000 times u just might pull this off once. So yes it can happen but u are just as likely to do it in one session as you are to enter and win the WSOP main event twice in a row.

I could be wrong, but I think he might have misunderstood the question and was talking about match wins and not hand wins....37 in a row is still pretty out there either way tho, but who am I to say it did or did not happen...

I tend to take lady's perspective and assume he misunderstood the question than think he was purposefully lying.

I did check him out on sharkscope...very impressive overall results. However, the longest heads-up winning streak was 9 games.

Thanks for all of the responses. Haven't thought about probabilities that hard since college.
