Full Tilt vs. Betfair Rake Comparison
By Taylor Cuccia, Rakeback.com Contributor
In this edition of poker rake comparisons, we pit Full Tilt against iPoker network site, Betfair in a battle of popular rest-of-world sites. Using some of the most common poker games and stakes as comparisons, we will determine which site offers more favorable rake for which games.
Note that these rake figures are averages, and each player’s style will affect their rake paid. In general, tighter players will pay less rake than loose players.
Additionally, players playing one specific game and stake would be better off ignoring our overall grades and simply finding their respective stakes in the charts and choosing the room with lower rake.
|Stake||6-Max NLHE (bb/100)|
Full Tilt shows advantages at every stake, handily taking the 6-Max NLHE category.
|Stake||Full Ring NLHE (bb/100)|
Full Tilt continues to show advantages in full ring NLHE up through 100nl. Betfair takes over at 200nl and 400nl with small edges in each. Full Tilt wins three of the five stakes compared, but Betfair wins for higher stakes games, so we’re calling full ring NLHE a draw here.
|Stake||PLO (6-Max) (bb/100)|
Full Tilt gets another sweep in PLO, with slightly smaller advantages than with 6-max NLHE. Thus, Full Tilt takes the PLO category.
- These numbers do not factor in rakeback. Full Tilt offers up to 40% rakeback depending on each player’s volume of play. Betfair offers a similar VIP points-to-cash conversion rewards program worth up to 31% depending on play volume.
- Traffic also needs to be considered. According to Pokerscout, Betfair (iPoker network) has a slight traffic advantage over Full Tilt on average.
With wins or draws in every category, Full Tilt gets the nod over Betfair in this rest-of-world site rake comparison.
