Coral Poker Overview
Coral Poker is the poker room of large British betting company Gala Coral Group Ltd with 17,189 employees. Coral Poker is a member of the iPoker Network, and thanks to its Gibraltar licensing winnings are tax-free for European players.
Coral Poker Rakeback
Coral Poker players cannot receive rakeback in the traditional sense of fixed monthly payments. However, for each VIP level Coral Poker players reach, internal rakeback is available in the form of weekly bonuses and monthly leaderboard prizes.

Cashback percentages for tournament players are 36% across virtually all levels from weekly bonuses alone. At the highest levels this drops a little due to the maximum weekly bonuses being capped. However, these players will likely dominate monthly leaderboard points races and receive more than enough extra value from that. This is hard to quantify and will vary by each leaderboard prizepool, but cashback percentages should still be 36%.
For cash game players, as the OnGame Network uses the Essence system to adjust VIP points, cashback percentages will typically be lower than for MTT players. We still estimate however that players can receive 36% cashback.
Coral Poker Rakeback Payments
Rakeback payments at Coral Poker come when you trade the Reward Points you have accumulated for weekly bonuses, and receive monthly VIP leaderboard cash prizes based on how much you rake.
Weekly Bonuses come in five sizes from $5 up to $100. The maximum amount of bonuses that can be bought and cleared per week is $190. You will be able to achieve this pace if you qualify for Quads VIP level or higher, giving you a total maximum of $823 in monthly bonus rewards.
The ongoing monthly $10,000 VIP Points Races award 100 players with cash prizes, from $10 up to $2,400. The top leaderboard spot is typically won by a Royal Flush level VIP player. All new Coral Poker players are also invited to a one month New Players Race, with 50 cash prizes ranging from $5 to $240 being paid out.
There is also some additional value to be found in Coral Poker’s Monthly $5k tournament, which awards $2,500 in cash, and $2,500 in prizes including tournament tickets (up to a $525 value), iPods, and an iPad 2. This tournament is free to enter for Full House and higher VIP players, with regular steps qualifiers available for lower VIP level players.

Coral Poker Loyalty Program Analysis
Coral Poker is a growing site, with much of it’s effective rakeback coming from VIP points races, and as such any rakeback percentage calculations are approximate. However, players reaching the highest VIP levels can expect to receive 36% cash back from the rewards program.
Tournament players receive 5 VIP points per $1 of tournament fees, compared to 3.25 VIP points per $1 of contributed rake paid for cash game players. This higher rate for MTT players, along with VIP Level Points Multipliers, means that players can expect to receive an even higher rakeback percentage for their tournament play.
Cash game players have their points and therefore their rakeback adjusted using OnGame’s Essence system. This is intended to level the playing field and award more points to players that play against stronger competition, and less to players that consistently play in games against weaker competition.
