PartyPoker Powerfest April 9 – 27
How big is PartyPoker?
Since the inception of Party Poker in 1997 their game client has been downloaded over 30 million times. This figure makes it the most prolific online poker site in the world and the reason why it attracts peak figures of over 2,000 players.
Is it good value?
The new PartyPoker VIP program allows you to earn up to 40% rakeback per week for raking $1,200, before adding extra value from monthly promotions. Alongside that every new player gets a $500 deposit bonus equivalent to an extra 25% rakeback until cleared.
Party Poker Rakeback
PartyPoker has revamped their VIP program and players can now earn up to 40% effective rakeback, in the form of weekly cashback for points. The new loyalty program began May 22, 2017.
The new PartyPoker VIP program is very similar to flat rakeback – no bonuses to clear, simply rake a certain amount and receive 20 – 40% cashback directly into your account balance.
PartyPoker Cashback
Players now earn 1 point per $1 rake paid in cash games or tournaments.
Rake Per Week | Cash You Get | Effective Rakeback |
---|---|---|
$25 – $100 | $5 – $20 | 20% |
$150 – $500 | $37.50 – $125 | 25% |
$600 – $1000 | $180 – $300 | 30% |
$1200 – $2000 | $480 – $800 | 40% |
Rake $25 per week (25 points) or more and you qualify for cashback. Cash is paid into your balance every Monday.
This is a significant improvement over the current VIP program, which was capped at 22.2% cashback.
Existing Points Will Expire
Spend your PartyPoints before the launch of the VIP program May 22nd. ‘Party_Rep’ has confirmed on the TwoPlusTwo forums that points will expire and start over.
Tournament dollars have no expiry date so that’s an alternative to spending them – convert them to T$.
Opt In
Players must opt in on the PartyPoker website each week to take part. The cashback week period runs between 00:00 CET Mondays to 23:59 CET Sundays.
If you opt in mid-week current points totals will still count towards cashback.
Update – opt in is planned to be removed so that cashback is automatic.
Palladium Elite Returns
The Palladium Elite VIP level will be reinstated although by invitation only and details have not yet been revealed.
One would assume that will be equal to 50% rakeback as it was prior to Apr 1, 2013.
Tiered Cashback
The exact cashback system is below. If your weekly points falls below a level, you’ll receive the cashback and effective rakeback of the previous level. So make sure you exactly hit each target.

Try it for Free
If you’re unsure about trying PartyPoker, you can easily do so without depositing via Free Play. You can use play money to get used to their software and see if you like it or not. Alternatively, you can play at a casual table where only players who are 1-tabling are allowed to sit. Read more about these here.
A ‘Casual Table’
Either for play money or real money, Instant Play lets players access the tables at PartyPoker in a browser. It’s perfect for testing the waters or playing while away from your personal computer. Features are slightly limited, but all public tables are available.
How are the Party Poker Games?
The PartyGaming network is one of the top 10 highest traffic poker networks online, popular with recreational players thanks to its worldwide marketing. Soft action can be found at most stakes as PartyPoker focuses on catering to casual players.
Although a few years old, see our Regulars Guide section for further advice on the state of the games.
2016 Update – PartyPoker now offers Sit & Go Hero games, fast-paced 4 handed SNG bounty tournaments with a random prizepool up to 10,000 times your buy in. These games are PartyPoker’s spin on the Jackpot SNG (aka ‘Lottery SNG’) format.
PartyPoker Rake Structure
The ‘Rake per 100 Hands ($)’ and ‘Rake Paid per 100 Hands (BB)’ columns are based on 80.7 million hands of data-mining research conducted by the Rakeback.com research department. These figures were datamined from heads up, 6-Max and Full Ring tables, and are most accurate when the table is full.
NO LIMIT HOLD’EM (NLHE)
No Limit and Pot Limit games are raked 5%. Rake is collected incrementally – $0.01 per $0.20 in the pot.
