PokerStars Rolls Out a Software Update

New features: A Find Seat button, volume sliders, brackets, and more!

The latest update to the PokerStars software hit computers across the world this week, bringing with it a host of new features and functions.

• Find Seat Button - When selecting a full table from the lobby, players will now see a Find Seat button, which can be used to bring them directly to an open seat at a table of the same type. That same functionality can be accessed from a table by pressing Ctrl + S.

• Volume Sliders - PokerStars now allows players to control the volume of several different sound effects individually, from a card being dealt to a player folding. All sounds can also be modulated at once using the master volume slider. All of these are available under "Options" > "Sound Settings..." in the main lobby.

• Bracket for Heads-up Tournaments - Players in heads-up tournaments will now be able to check the bracket to see who they're facing next and calculate their possible matchup scenarios.

• NLHE/PLO Mixed Game - These are the two most popular games on PokerStars, so it makes sense to see them together. The NLHE/PLO tables will apppear gradually on the site throughout December. 

• Font Changes for Games - This will only affect 1% of you, as it was done to make it easier for colorblind people to navigate the lobby. Still, isn't it nice to know that PokerStars is looking out for everyone?

• Miscellaneous Fixes - PokerStars corrected an error in the Register to Any button for S&G's, changed the behavior of the bet size buttons in draw games, made some minor updates to chat box functionality, etc.
