Bjorn "Bjoerni89" Schneider is a German poker pro who joined Team PokerStars Online in late November. He specializes in playing Heads-Up Sit & Go's, and plays them at the highest limits.
With 2011 nearly over, Schneider reached his poker goal by setting a world record for the most VPPs earned in a calendar year on PokerStars. His record? A massive 3,058,659.92 VPPs.
By reaching that number, he narrowly took the record from another Team PokerStars Online member, Kevin "WizardofAhhs" Thurman, who earned 3,055,385 VPPs in a calendar year.
Schneider's VPPs collected means that between FPP cash rewards, VIP Stellar Rewards, and Milestone Cash Credits, he earned over $380,000 in cash rewards from PokerStars - probably worth somewhere in the range of 70% effective rakeback on his truly incredible volume.
At the age of 22, Schneider's work ethic is second-to-none, and we'll be very surprised if we don't hear more big things from him in 2012.
