PokerStars recently announced in their Frequently Asked Questions page to U.S. players that balances can be used to play in any of their sponsored poker tours around the globe. Quoted from the FAQ:
Q. Can I still play in PokerStars live events?
A. You are still welcome to play in the PCA or any of our live poker tours. Unfortunately, you will not be able to deposit money to buy in directly to these events through PokerStars, but you can use the remaining balance in your account to register in our live events.
Let's take a look at some of the upcoming PokerStars sponsored events around the world.
The annual stop in San Remo will hold 17 events. The main event is €5,000 + 300 and was won last season by Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree.
The EPT Grand Final is being held this year for the first time away from Monte Carlo and their world famous $50 hamburgers and $30 beers. There will be a total of 28 events with the main event being a €10,000 + 600 buy-in. The final event in Madrid will be the recently announced EPT Champion of Champions event where all former EPT champions will compete.
A formal schedule of events has yet to be released but the main event will be a $2,300 + 200 buy-in.
The series will hold a total of four events. The main event will carry a $2,300 + $200 price tag.
