A $100,000 buy-in poker tournament is out of reach for the vast majority of the poker world. Most of us can't afford to risk that much, and even those who can are typically too frugal to consider actually doing it.
This week, 32 players who don't throw up at the idea of dropping 6 figures on a single tournament convened in the Bahamas for the Super High Roller event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. As you might imagine, the field was jam-packed with poker stars (no pun intended), and the final table, led by Galen Hall (shown to the right) is incredible.
The chip counts for the eight players heading into today's final table are as follows:
Unless you count Humberto Brenes' signature toy shark, there isn't a fish at that table.
Despite this being the final table, just 5 players will reach the money. 5th place will receive $250,900 and 6th will walk with nothing. That is quite the money bubble. The lucky first-place finisher will receive $1,254,400 and a Shamballa Jewels bracelet.
