Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom Wins PCA Super High Roller

By Matt Kaufman, Rakeback.com Poker News Editor

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure's $100,000 Super High Roller tournament is in the books, and Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom (shown to the right) is the champion.

On the first day of this event, the 32-player field was narrowed down to an 8-handed final table, but only 5 of the final tablists would ultimately make the money. The lucky 5 ended up being:

  1. Viktor Blom - $1,254,400
  2. Dan Shak - $846,700
  3. Galen Hall - $470,400
  4. Jonathan Duhamel - $313,600
  5. Daniel Negreanu - $250,900

Scott Seiver, Mike McDonald, and Humberto Brenes reached the final table of this event only to walk away from it $100,000 poorer.

Although Jonathan Duhamel placed ahead of Daniel Negreanu, he actually made less money because he re-bought after busting from the tournament once. We're very glad Duhamel cashed, because if he dropped $200,000 it probably would have made his already bad month even worse.

Viktor Blom is certainly accustomed to 7-figure swings in his poker bankroll, but considering he is known as a cash game player he seemed to take extra pride in finding success in a tournament.

PokerStars.tv caught up with Blom and asked him about winning the event:
