PokerStars Mobile Launches in the UK

Players in England, Scotland, and Wales can now play real-money poker on PokerStars via iOS and Android devices.

Earlier this week, PokerStars announced an Android-compatible version of their mobile real-money poker app. In our article covering the announcement, we suggested that the Android release could mean that new markets will gain access to the app in the near future.

Today, our prediction has already come true. PokerStars has officially released their real-money poker app for players located in England, Scotland, Wales, and the Isle of Man (not Northern Ireland).

How can I get started?

If you live in a region where you can play on PokerStars Mobile, first you'll need a PokerStars account. If you don't already have one, sign up for one today.

Next, head over to PokerStarsMobile.com and download the app to your iOS or Android-compatible device. Then just open it up and log into your PokerStars account!

The iOS version of the app should work for iPhone 3G S, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, and 4th-Generation iPod Touch. The Android app is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 or above, with a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 480 (this should include most up-to-date Android phones and tablets).
