PokerStars New Jersey Will Launch on March 21

PokerStars-NJThe big red spade will be back in the USA this Spring as PokerStars returns in the New Jersey state regulated market. PokerStars announced that the launch will be in three phases.

First the company must make a week’s test under the regulatory requirements of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. Next will come a beta phase where the site will be open to a “limited number” of players. Presumably these will be former PokerStars players living in New Jersey.

Finally, the site will be open to all players within the borders of New Jersey itself.

Resident status is not required, so players can travel from nearby locations such as New York, and as soon as they are within the state borders they can log on and play.

The PokerStars software will be available on mobile devices, so literally, as soon as a player drives across the state border, he or she can get straight to the virtual tables.

PokerStars Now has Casino Games

The new PokerStars New Jersey will not only be offering online poker. Since PokerStars was taken over by Canadian company Amaya, the company has diversified into offering casino games.

PokerStars New Jersey will be offering a wide selection of different Blackjack variants, as well as Roulette, Baccarat, Video Poker and Slots.

“PokerStars is the global leader in online poker and trusted by its customers for its robust and innovative technology, world-class security and game-integrity. We are honored and excited to now bring these experiences to New Jersey,” said David Baazov, Chairman and CEO of Amaya. “We’re also thankful to Morris Bailey and the fine team at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City and look forward to a successful collaboration.”

To get its New Jersey license, PokerStars partnered with the Resorts Casino which is expected to host live PokerStars tournaments as soon as they can be scheduled after the online launch.
