Interesting Fact: Phillips was an Accountant at a trucking company before making the final table of the WSOP Main Event in 2008.

Bio: As an original member of the November Nine, the Accountant for a trucking company in the St. Louis area has made a lot out of a third place finish in the 2008 WSOP Main Event. Phillips won a $200 satellite in his local card room to win his Main Event seat that year.

His live poker career started in earnest in 2007 when he final tabled two $500 WSOP Circuit events in Tunica. Since his WSOP score, he has put up some respectable live tournament finishes. In the 2009 WSOP Main Event he finished in 45th place for $178K. He also final tabled the EPT London High Rollers event in 2009 finishing in seventh for $95K. He followed-up that cash with a third palce in the 2010 NBC National Heads-Up Championship for $125K.

Phillips is an avid baseball fan. He can always be seen at the poker table with his signature St. Louis Cardinals baseball hat. Phillips also co-hosts the weekly ‘The Final Table Radio Show’ based in St. Louis.

Playing Style: Phillips is a tight passive tournament player with occasional spurts of naked aggression.
